Synopsis:
F@NB0Y$ is a gaming webcomic, created by artist Scott Dewitt, (aka Krudman). The comic usually centers around the lives of three housemates, Lemmy, Paul, and Sylvia, with each character portraying a common type of stereotypical video game fanboy. Each character can be tied to a specific major video game console creator, those being Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, respectively. Most of the comics parody or reference a game or news story currently popular within video game culture. A new comic is posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The problem with f@nboy$ is that it feels amateurish, despite being out for couple of years now. The lame and uninspired jokes fall flat, the art work looks like sloppy, beginners work, the story arcs are uneventful and making the characters allegorical representations of their favourite game consoles is just lazy characterisation. F@nboy$ fails in all areas.

Excellent. The early comics aren't that great, but through perseverance and a genuine desire to improve, Mr. Dewitt has upped his artwork and his jokes to a whole new level. Besides Penny Arcade, it's my favorite video game webcomic. Keep at it, Scott!

At first glance, it seems like your typical gaming comic. Looks can be deceiving. While this comic contains gaming humor, it's different because of its character development. The story arcs don't seem forced, and they support the characters. It's a good read, and the artwork has improved substantially since it first started. Highly recommended.

This comic is awesome, by far my fav

And I think the password thing is because they're doing work on the site or something of that sort.

Any reason that they're asking for a password now?

I discovered this comic just yesterday, and I've already (and ironically) become a F@NB0Y$ fanboy. It is now bar none my favorite comic, and I can't stop complaining that their server is currently having issues; it's only been a day and yet I already find myself wanting to reread it.

It maintains a strict G/PG rating limitation, which means that it's greatness is derived from a source OTHER than boobs, guns, and liberal use of the f-bomb: That being just having fun.

If you're in for a good read, you've found what you're looking for, and, like me, you'll be drooling for the next chapter.

NMaster you forgot the character driven writing and humor!!! Awesome comic. Art keeps getting better and better. Good writing. Original humor.

Where did this come from?! This comic came out of nowhere and took me by surprise. I first read it in the Weekly Webcomic Wrapup on Joystiq, and I fell in love. Very funny.
