Synopsis:
Kestrel plays with cats and people's heads. See occasional visits from Ms. Grammar Nazi, crossovers with Something Positive and other webcomics, and an emasculating reworking of Hakuna Matata. Aerie finished the comic in 2005, bringing the storyline to a close (and is now rerunning through it with commentary). If you want a webcomic you can read and KNOW you'll get closure - this is it!

I was sad to see it go, but glad the author ended it well. Definitely one of the better online comics I\'ve run into, and I look forward to a book (if ever) being made.

Aiere, the author has a new webcomic: Punch an' Pie. Features Angela from QoW. The art on P&P isn't as polished or good, and I miss Kestrel alot, but it's a nice consolation prize.

In responce to Darryl - eh? Queen of Wands' overarcing plotline is over. It's finished. It's better than having it outstay its welcome and just drag down your memories of it.
While it was going Aeire was one of the best at walking the line between the dramatic and the surreal. One of the best comics out there. |

In response to hollyqi, the strip is not yet finished. When the author started into the recaps, she stated that she was doing the recaps while she finished planning the end of the comic. There will be more comics, just wait.

Even though it's now finished as a strip, I highly recommend it. The artwork is brilliant, the storyline touching and funny, and the one off strips (Chainsaw of Natural Selection, Grammar Nazi, etc) are LOL funny. Going to Catholic school, I actually printed out the Chainsaw and "Read" strips and pasted them to book covers and dorm door. You wouldn't believe the comments I got.

Sad to see it end, as this is one of my favorites. I always got the impression when reading the comic that it was like Kestrel was a real person and the comic was her comic-blog. I know that's not the case, but it does say something for the artist/writer's ability to create believable characters.

I caught this after it ended, so I read it in one big sitting, to say that it left me wanting more is a major understatment. Can't wait to see what else is around the bend.
