One of the few web comics that i am still reading. There are points when the art really shines, particularly in the graphic action scenes. It must be said, in my oppinion the opening chapter doesn't do justice to the comic, so if you are giving it a go for the first time, make sure you read past the beginning into the story, and you'll be doing 100 pages a night ;)
It's also nice seeing Bmans drawing skill get better over the course of the comic. |

| I totally adore the art, especially the restrained color palette. Author isn't afraid to show stuff in action sequences either. (When's the last time you saw someone getting their hand burnt from casting a bolt of magic?) The story seems OK so far, tho I think the beginning was a little contrived. Then again, when is dimensional travel NOT contrived? :) |

The very first moment I went to read Falcon Twin, I was absolutely blown away by the amazing artwork. The artist uses delicate shades and spectacular lighting, so certainly a lot of work goes into this!
The first pages in the archives are more simply rendered, but you can really see the artist's improvement as you read on.
The story keeps you hooked because it starts with a dramatic moment, and then goes back in time to tell the story as an extended flashback. The current plot is still building up very nicely. |

| I'm really enjoying this comic so far. It has a really engaging fantasy story line and absolutely FANTASTIC art! I'm quite fond of the growth the main character has gone through as the comic has progressed. Very nice! |

A very slick professionally-drawn manga. The action scenes are very well done, enough to allow me to identify the author's training in American Kickboxing (I'm guessing). The weapons fighting shows off the influence of Shinomura Aoshi, the leader of the Oniwabanshuu from the Rurouni Kenshin manga/anime. What keeps this comic a point below a 10 is the utterly derivative and cliched storyline. But, hey, story is very difficult, and since 1/25 strips is an action sequence, it's definitely a must-read for action fans.
I use this as a guide when working on my own comic. |
