Synopsis:
Here is the basic outline by the author Maritza Campos: "CRFH is a strip where everybody is crazy as a fruitcake. Despite looking normal, they are not. And the world they live in is even worse. Anything could happen here, and it does. It's unpredictable, except (of course) for Murphy's Law. So if you're looking for a daily comic strip with insane, stupid, impossible adventures, silly dialogue, and nonexistant backgrounds, well, you've found it! It's not as bad as it sounds, I'd like to think.

CRFH is a serialized strip. The storylines are independent, but they are almost always linked together in a continuous way."

To extend the description, it takes place on a college campus. It revolves around 3 roomies, the manipulative Mike, the hapless and unlucky nice guy Dave, the weirdo Roger, and their 3 nextdoor neighbors, the usually stable Marsha, tempremental April, and gun crazy Margeret.

That pretty much sums it up. Start reading it right now, you won't regret it.

For those that didn't like this comment, I'd like to know how far you read. The first year or so of the strip isn't that great, art and plot-wise. It starts to pick up after the Misery Journey, and goes up from there. Way up, both plot and art-wise. As far as art, I think this wins my "most improved" listing.
The story lately has definitely taken a turn for the serious, and I'm aware some of you don't care for that as much, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the strip.

My only complaint is that the updates have been far less frequent in the last year or so compared to before.
Revlid 5/5
One of my absolute favourites. Delightfully insane, but with somewhat relateable characters. Love it.
Blondie1980 5/5
All-time favorite of mine. Been reading for years now. It's very character driven. There's still good moments of funny and amusement, but there's also a good amount of drama and wonderful storytelling. Don't let the early comics put you off. The art and writing quickly improve. You will find yourself caring about each of the characters. Sign of a good writer. And Maritza definitely is a wonderful writer and artist.

Blasphemy, this comic is one of the best. I dunno about comparing it to Real Life, CRFH is much more zany. You're right about Sluggy Freelance (great comic), but CRFH is still one of the best. What I like the most about CRFH is you can see the tremendous improvement in the art.

Although, I have to admit, lately the storyline has been dragging, and there is a substantial lack of funny. Dave's reaction to Margaret is funny though. "Raaaagh. *Pulls out hair* ...Ow."

Also, some of the characters are getting on my nerves. I have to admit, the whole love triangle thing is pulled off well, as I can't wait to find out what happens.

Anyway, one of the best, it inspired my comic, sort of, well, yeah...It's because of CRFH that AS takes place in a college. So...yeah...

(Funny, the comic either rates very high, or very low. Well, I'll give it four stars, not five because it has been a little lame lately. Maritza Campos is forgiven for that, apparently she just had a kid. Still, the original archives are hillarious.)

Eh. I see this comic recommended a lot and I gave it a try but it didn't really grab me like it does others apparently. For this kind of comic I'd rather read Real Life or Sluggy Freelance, (which CRFH seems like a watered-down version of.)
HolyTorture 5/5
Just read through all the archives in about 3 days.. what can i say I LOVE IT!! he makes all webcomic artists strive to be better.. Plus I'd say I like his use of more storyline than day by day punchlines..
Weasel 5/5
An amazing comic with an amazing story line. I wasn't expecting much when I first started reading it, another college life comic. But the uniqueness is just so powerful. I spent three days reading all the archives.
J.K. 2/5
This comic starts okay and then takes a turn for the worst by beginning to take itself too seriously. Now barely one in ten strips will even attempt to be funny. Can't recommend it much, really.
chaos cricket 5/5
One of the first webcomics I started reading, and still one of my favorites. The archives will keep you entranced for hours.
Srdjan 5/5
One of my all-time favourites. Extremely weird events in setting of average college dorm. And it was the first (and probably the best) comic that used that setup.
Pam 5/5
This is a wonderfully insane comic about six college buddies and their unusual adventures.
