Adventures of the first grader Calvin and his tiger Hobbes. Calvin is disobedient, literal, articulate, and incredibly imaginative. Hobbes is sarcastic, disillutioned with humanity, and often the voice of reason. Easily could be the most brilliant printed comic strip ever written.

A true great classic. What else would I have to say about it.

Calvin and Hobbes is damn sweet

If you have not read this comic, drop whatever you are doing and read it right now. This is the very embodiment of nostalgia for so many people, and has influenced the rise of excellent comics such as housepets. There are no words to describe how much this comic means to me.
sonicfan 5/5
i have owned a bunch of calvin and hobbes books! but this comic strip is FUNNY!
Seanier 5/5
Calvin and Hobbes is my personal favourite comic strip of all time. Whenever I need a little cheering up, I just pull out one of my collections and I always feel better.

I just don\'t get why it\'s on a webcomics list. O_o
Phalanxia 5/5
Calvin is the six year old we all wish we were, while Hobbes is the friend we all wish we had. Excellent.
xxilysfm 5/5
I own almost every printed book filled with Calvin and Hobbes comics [: I. Love. It.
Illjwamh 5/5
Even after a decade of nothing but reruns, this still remains the greatest comic strip of all time. My eternal favorite, and the bar by which all other comics are measured.
Leonardo 5/5
I've read this strip since I was a little kid, and I've always found it to be fascinating: it's funny, it's observant... No other comic comes close to this level of excellence!
cuneytarkin 5/5
By far the finest work in comic strips.
it's made with love, inteligence and dedication, and you can see that.
OneMorePelican 5/5
Quite possibly the most original and most revolutionary comic strip ever made. It showed the innocence and naivete of youth while looking at the more troubling questions, and extremely original.
Art: 8.968 out of 10
Content: 9.899 out of 10

great great great
does someone know about if Watterson did other jobs?
superweijia 5/5
Obvious statements aside, this comic is pretty much what got me into reading the more intelligent, less "Family Circus" type bullshit.
ScordianL9 5/5
Blasphemer!! That guy jules only gave it 4 stars!!

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!Calvin and Hobbes is the greatest comic ever!!!! I have every book (with the exception of Yukon Ho! and Revenge of the Baby-Sat, although i have those in the collections) And this comic deserves 2000000 stars! If you haven't read this, your life is not complete!
thomsedavi 5/5
"10 characters or more."
Ami 5/5
Hail to the King!

Not the measuring bar for the industry, Watterson set it way too high.
Keeper of Secrets 5/5
A classic, been reading it for years. Hilarious, creative adventures blended into great art makes this easily one of the best comics ever.

wodan46 5/5
One of the great classic comic strips, but this isn't really a webcomic, and the writer stopped writing it anyway, so why is it up?
fearsome badger 5/5

Pudge_bar 5/5

rhathar 5/5
This is a great comic strip that defied all the 'rules' of its time. It's a masterpiece =)
ninjafeathers 5/5
a piece of history man, unparalleled artwork with writing that never ceases to be funny.
J.K. 5/5
Heccubus 5/5
Calvin And Hobbes transcends the average comic strip.
plotlessviolence 5/5
A relic of a bygone era, one of only 3 syndicated comic strips to EVER be funny (Dilbert, Far Side). In a pre-South Park move, the author brilliantly explored life's absurdity and philosophy through the mind of a devious yet innocent child.
Narf Man 5/5
The single best comic strip of all time... ever.
WynnVonn 5/5
The best of the best. It may be a classic, but it's still the funniest stuff in the world.
Matt-Phew 5/5
Was, and still is, the greatest comic strip in the world. Creative and witty, Bill Watterson had got it nailed.
