I read this in syndication in my local paper. I have to say it is one of my favorites and I am missing it right now.

I haven't seen the show and I have to say that the strip's jokes are dry most of the time. There are many more misses then there are hits. Like in this latest strip he should have ended it with somethin more true to urban slang such as *Old Head*

I saw the show and decided to look at the comic, and I got really disappointed. The comic is always on its way to make a good point or joke but never really gets there. Watch the show instead.

I started reading the comic after watching the show. The show is genius. The original comic...not so much.

Ive only recently started reading the boondocks, but its quite good. The political humor is great, and the basic humor is good, too. The show in my opinion is better, but the strip is still a fun read.

Very politic, but very funny also. Unique blend of styles, too.

Every so often the author will tell a tolerable joke. But mostly it's just unfunny liberal propaganda railing. However, it's not as mind-numbingly drug-simulatingly stupid as almost all other syndicated comics out there.
