At it's core, Real Life Comics follows the exploits of a group of friends. Loosely based on real people. the comic has endeared itself to many and has helped prove that funny ideas and competent art direction are all you need to make a webcomic. Greg Dean updates regularly and the material is consistently very good.

I love this comic. It\'s a look into their real life, i.e the name. I\'ve been trying to catch up on it for the last 8 years and finally did today. I\'m kind of sad, now I have to find something new to read. Any ideas? The jokes are pretty awesome in this comic with some science thrown in there. I\'d like to think this is how me and my friends are.

This is a pretty funny comic. Some of the jokes tend to fall flat but on the whole, this comic is one of the best i have seen.
LTE 3/5
Was never able to get too into the comic, but I still respect it for being updated daily for so long.

okay, so Real Life starts with a handful of cliches--reality comics, comics breaking the fourth wall, gaming comics, and sci-fi cliches like evil geniuses and dimensional teleporters. but it somehow manages to fuse them all together into an original arrangement! Greg Dean is one of the more hardcore updaters out there, and while the humor can be hit-or-miss, it's "hit" more often than not. the art is simple, but well-executed, and it gets the job done. bottom line, RL is worth checking out.
(As for all the "cliche, blegh" comments: Guys, you ever tought that in that case, Lord of the Rings is pretty much the most full of boggus cliches fantasy book in the world? This comic is 7 years old, what do you expect?)
Jenx 5/5
As much as I hate to admit it, a lot less of the new strips make me laugh, compare to the first few years of the comic. It still is a fave of mine, and I will still give it a 5 star rating. Why? Coz the comic fuckin` deservse it!
Van Helsing 4/5
Oh yeah, and also, there's a lot of glitches in the website and a lot of the time when you're trying to acess the archives it 404's you, or else when your looking through the archives the strip will come up as a broken j-peg.
Van Helsing 4/5
Quite frankly, I like this comic. I don't think it really deserves the ranking of gaming genre, it's game references are scarce at best. The storylines are great, very creative, although I think the cracters look like they're barely a step up from being drawn with Microsoft paint. Too much breaking of the forth wall in the early comics, and too few updates in th later ones, but altogether a pretty good comic .

This comic has built its own legacy, and in a case like that, it's usually a hard thing to live up to. However, Greg Dean has managed to do what I think is the hardest thing, and that's keeping each comic feeling as if it's a whole new experience. Truly something to look up to, one of my favorite comics ever. You don't have to be a long time fan to join in on the fun.

Just like real life, just more boring. The review by neoncs was ten times funnier than anything the artist has managed. Very dissapointing considering the art is pretty nice (considering the rampant cut/paste, but hey if we give Kurtz a pass...). I'd go on, but I feel like I spent more time writing up this review than the artist spent time coming up with a script.

who ever thinks this comic isnt good is either not a real gamer/ geek / any one who has a insight into computers... im nto a gamer but dudes i went to beggining its the funiest think ive read in 2005 shame i didnt get to the current day commics b4 i lost the link when i reformatted there is not a un funny comic that mr dean has done its the fucking best its better than foamy the fucking rodant
Somnium 5/5
One of my all time favorites. I love the characters, and there are some pretty funny story lines. Shirt Ninja, almost any plot of Tony, the Volvo, I love it :D

Real Life is brilliant all the people who gave it bad ratings should be smacked in the face with a[clever face-smacking item].
Been reading it for years and it's always great. :)
terminal2k 5/5
i've been reading for years. plenty of humor and geek references. READ IT NOW
Craigus 5/5
It's been on the net for ages and still hasn't lost the humour, admittedly a lot of the plots are obviously not real life situations but you can't do a comic about your day, 5 days a week so the comic keeps people entertained with such things as people trying to take over the world and going forward in time. 5/5
wutasumi 5/5
People who give this less then 3 stars are idiots. The reason there are so many cliches is the fact that it is SEVEN ****ing years old! THEY WERN'T ****ING CLICHES WHEN THEY WERE UP!

Now that I got that out of the way, RLC is an interesting comic that manages to do the dreaded reality genre without sucking. A five... out of five.

Oh, and Srdjan is a complete utter twat, so are Me, and Toxic.
hidden sanity 5/5
The place where a lot of Cliches had their start, a Clever and well written gag-a-day comic that should appeal to many gamers, a bit of a slow start in the first part of the archive (only somewhat funny for the first few months) but overall, one of the better comics out there.
Sean 3/5
Random storylines, cut and paste characters. Character's themselves are interesting.
Toxic 2/5
Cliche ridden and boring. An embarassment to all reality comics.
Maduin 2/5
I followed this comic for an entire year, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.
Wait, no I didn't.
It was pretty lousy in general, though.
I couldn't get past the first few months in the archives because none of them were funny.
Don't break the fourth wall, artists.
Just don't.
Eric 5/5
This comic is great. From shirt-ninja hi-jinks, to gags about adictions to playing video games and drinking Pepsi, and a inventing genius that causes more problems than he expects, this comic is a must read.
The Ostrich 5/5
Awsome comic, funny, good looking, and enough comics in the archive to last me a week.
john 5/5
srdjan is a complete utter twat (just twat would have done, damn min char requirement).
Srdjan 2/5
Boring to hell. That's all I can say.
