When I first saw this comic, I was a bit sceptical about the comic. I was proven wrong. Ten years and going strong, Sluggy Freelance is a must read comic for any webcomic reader ou there.
Stormblazer 5/5
Sluggy Freelance was the comic that got me interested in webcomics. Sure, it has it's downsides, such as slow character development, but it's still easily one of the best webcomics out there, and longest, if not *the* longest.
Slade 5/5
Sluggy Freelance is the the webcomic that got me hooked on webcomics and its still my favorite.
DeathbyChiasmus 5/5
you better believe it's nifty.

The first webcomic I've read. Absolutely love it. Read the archives 4 times now.
mystictaco 5/5
Sluggy has everything, this is quite simply the best comic out there. I was going back to re-read the big That Which Redeems plotline, and then went back a little furthur for context, and then I kept going back until I started re-reading from the beginning! I'm loving every second of it(again)! I wish I could buy the old books still...
jpers36 5/5
The best. I've been following since April 2000 :) .

What, I haven't given a rating to this yet? Crazy. It's been one of my favourite webcomics for ages. Um... I don't have much else to say. I'm going to have to read it all again one day, because frankly, there's waaay too much of it to remember from one reading alone, and all the references to old events usually confuse me because I can't remember them. I was going to give it four stars for that, but that isn't really fair, so I'll give it five.

I'm still at January 2000, and it's already on top of my list. Lovable characters, storylines, humor, Dimension of Pain, everything. It's going to take me at least a month of my life to read it all, but it's well worth it.
wodan46 5/5
It takes about 2 weeks to read the archives while living a semi normal life. And it never stops being funny.

Best comic out there, no contest.
The characters are amazing, the humor is smart, original, hilarious and well thought, the story is original, well thought and entertaining, it updates dialy and the art is good. What else do you want?

If you want to start reading this webcomic I would recomend you to start from the very begining (it will be a LONG read, but it's well worth it), you would spoil a lot of the fun (and jokes) otherwise.

All the other webcomics are way beneath this one.
ekogan 5/5
Niftiest comic out there
vden 5/5
This comic is amazingly amazing. Sluggy has got to be the Patron Saint of webcomics, and it boggles the mind the number of other comics that make references to it. No other comic I've read has managed to have the same scope or range in it's material. This is a must read, and if you do read it I suggest starting at the begining. There is simply to much that could spoil the strip if you start anywhere else.

And yes. It is very nifty.

An excelent comic!
It was the first Webcomic I ever read, although it probably isn't the best intoductory webcomic as it invites you to read it from the begining, but is VERY long.
The characters are lovable, and although the storylines can sometimes be tedious and the fillers can be anoying, generally it is extemely funny. On the flip side there are pure nuggets of narative gold that can tug at the heartstings.
Brilliant.
Xocrates 5/5
Possibly the best webcomic there is!
Highly recommended to read the archives though, so take a short vacation, sit back and dive deep.

Everyone loves Sluggy Freelance.

If you're looking for a great comic that will make you laugh and (sometimes) make you cry, I'd definetly say that Sluggy Freelance is the comic that's for you.

...the archives take FOREVER...
Darion MacLeode 5/5
After jamming a USB connector into my temple in a failed attempt to download the insanely funny archives, I simply wasted a few days at work to read through them. Be careful! This stuff is so addictive, it may show up on drug tests!
BeefotronX 5/5
This was the first webcomic I ever read. II read it daily, and it is so nifty I can barely move. The story takes crazy turns and always manages to surprise you. It's the source of many inside jokes in webcomics, so read it for that if for no other purpose.
drachefly 5/5
One of the first webcomics, and one of the most consistent in both publishing schedule (every day with long color sundays) and quality of humor and, eventually, story.

Though this delves into parody, it never leaves continuity, and the characters are always true.
risawn 5/5
Excellent comic, if you haven't read this one before you are sorely missing out.

The archives are huge and a little overwhelming at times, I suggest taking it a little at a time (I have yet to read the entire archive), but has a few twists and stories that require you to pay attention.

Definitely one of my all time favorites, heartily recommend to anyone.
Srdjan 5/5
Very good (and very popular) adventure/humor comic. Reading those huge archives will occationally make you laugh to hard that I don't suggest drinking anything while reading. Also, stories are complex and moving.
As most of long-going comics it's on it's downpath with lots of slacking and lots of fillers, but it's still worth reading, at least for archives.
