Synopsis:
Seven ordinary youths decide on the night of Jack's 18th birthday to 'summon the devil', setting up and performing a ritual under the impression that it wasn't going to do little more than frighten the two preteens attending the party.
Unsurprisingly, it works.
To punish the youths for being a bunch of idiots, Brogod (their summoned daemon) splits them up and scatters them throughout the seven levels of hell. Now, with the help (or not) of their Inverses, a group of daemons representing them and their lands' sins, they must fight for their lives in order to find Brogod and return home once and for all.
This comic is being rewritten and renamed Devil's Advocate. However, Sketch Dump is still worth the read. It is suggested to read Sketch Dump while waiting for Devil's Advocate to be updated. Or you can just read it in general. Just read it, it's worth it.

As an update to this profile, this comic is currently being rewritten on a separate site and is now titled Devil\'s Advocate. A new comic profile now exists for Devil\'s Advocate.
But aside from that, this comic is excellent. It clearly has some inspiration from Homestuck when it come to a few small things within the comic (i.e. Typing quirks, means of communication, and a few smaller details) but it has managed to be its own story. The artstyle completes the overall atmosphere of the story and is actually quite pleasing to the eye.
The character development (while not a whole lot since the comic was still in its beginning when it was decided to rewrite it) is slow, it\'s present but slow, and clearly hints to a big amount of changes in the characters in the future and the characters themselves are quite detailed and actually feel human.
Al in all, this comic is a 10/10 in my book and I hope the rewrite will be same way. |
