.......Its a win but in all honesty I prefer 8 bit theater It makes me laugh more and I can read all 900 in one sit but I cant stand more than 300 of bob and george still its one of the best comics Id found
Sometimes nature plays tricks on us and we imagine we are something other than what we truly are. Is this a key to life in general? Or the case of the two-headed schizophrenic? Both heads thought the other was following itself. Finally, when one head wasn't looking, the other shot the other right between the eyes, and, of course, killed himself.
jayngfet 5/5
bob an george beats 8 bit theater by a long, long, and very wide margin.

In all honesty, a lot more people are going to say '8-bit Theatre' is the best sprite comic on the 'net. But 'Bob and George' was my first jump into Webcomicdom, and I fine its humor, storylines, characters and overall feel to be compared to that first slice of a freshly baked pie. Warm, tasty, crust that is so flaky. That is an awesome strip! Too bad it'll be ending soon.

I love Bob and Goerge! This comic is great! No, it kicks ass!

This is just a great comic.

I read this comic everyday. Everyone else who says it sucks can bite me. It's funny, well made, and updated daily.
lotodame 5/5
Bob and George is awesome. It was the first sprite-based webcomic, and it was probably a little hard to understand at first. Sure, Bob and George has a strange and wacky storyline, but its funny and very zany, which is what I like about it. And also, Dave has improved greatly over the past 6 years, introducing his own characters and bringing great personalities to them. Also, his storylines are very creative, and his plots are... well, twisted. Bob and George deserves more than just 5 stars. It is the best webcomic I have ever seen.
vigilante4x 4/5
Gets tedious at times, but mostly it's hilarious.

THIS IS THE MOST AWSOME COMIC EVER and it inspired me to make a comic (yes there is Mega Man but that is not the point because it is mostly about a super hero team!)
Derfu 3/5
I think that this is one of the better web comics I have read. But that's mainly because most of them suck. My main problem with most sprite comics is the factor of the crappy battle scenes. Not only does nobody fight in them, but the bad guy always just ends up being killed completely randomly in one panel. That hardly constitutes as a climax. Bob and George sort of tackles this problem. With a game like Rockman, or Mega Man, as you blokes call it, the battle sprites are readily available. I give it an average score partly because of the alternative. Keeping something going that long and updating it so often is a moderate amount of work, and semi-time-consuming. Overall, at length, it's good.
Tropylium 4/5
i don't really read the main comic anymore, but some of the subcomics are comedy gold. Maybe I should campaign for adding them here as independent entries.
izme1000 5/5
The mindless extreme humor makes you come back for more. i love this comic ^-^
KirbyMeister 4/5
For all the hatemail that this webcomic recieves, you have to say it has a lot of fans in just sheer numbers. It's not the greatest comic [mostly because of the wave of copycat comics makes it feel a little stale] but it's still a historically valid comic.

Besides the first sprite comic was Forgotten Mario Characters, and set up a lot of the conventions for future sprite comics to follow.
jim_nightshade 5/5
best web comic ever
Rianeva 4/5
I have to give BnG kudos for inspiring many other sprite comics I read, but the comic itself isn't that great. It doesn't make me laugh enough to be really good at humor, and the plot... well... it reads like "uh oh, I just wrote myself into a corner here. Time to get convoluted beyond belief!"

Still, it's a pretty enjoyable comic. If you're thinking about reading it, be sure to look at the other comics on the site as well. (The author hosts a select group of good comics for free that deserve a look just as much as BnG itself.)
DrG 4/5
Seen better... But the fact this is actually the first (I know that it *technically* isn't, but Bell also wasn't the first to invent the telephone) and that it's still alive and has an active fanbase make it one of the better sprite-based webcomics on the internet.
Adwanoc 2/5
You are all fan boy trash. Bob and george has few actuall jokes and no actuall funny jokes. The story is laughably pathetic. The art is bad to though that isnt part of the problem really. It's just that it throws the same old trash webcomics have been throwing at you for years: Sprites, Bad Jokes, Breaking the 4th wall for no reason. Not that these are bad intrinsicly, just that in the art that we call webcomics, originallity should be an important factor. If one is not original, then it has no contrast with the profane and banal, which is precicely the element that makes most comics funny and others not.

Also Many posts claim that bob and george is the first sprite comic ever created. This is not true. The idea has been thrown around for years before bob and george came around They only personalized it by growing a large fan base of tastless zombies.

I give this a 2. It's fair and nothing more.
joshintheghetto 5/5
Definitely an inspiration to me. The fact that he can still do this and make us laugh is amazing in itself. So, gripe about unoriginal artwork. He was one of the first to start recolors. And at least he does Photoshop in special effects. This was by far the most incredible concept ever in comics, and I would stand up and applaud to him if I ever met him.

pure genius, keep up the good work
Avarice 5/5
this is some magnificent stuff. i luv these video game parodies. it's hard to find a good sprite comic these days.
Exalted Vileness 1/5
funy for a while, but it's getting quite tedious now
Misanthrope 1/5
Are you morons INSANE?! This is a comic that fails on every level...NO original art, NO jokes, NO storyline that doesn't make you vomit...
That the reviewers below gave it 5 stars saddens me on behalf of all mankind. I mean, how do you idiots even manage to work the keyboard and get on the internet?
I've heard, and this may not be true, that this pile was the very first sprite comic. If that's true, then not only does it deserve -10 on its own, the author also owes the world the world's greatest apology for starting a trend that will forever haunt webcomics.
heccubus 1/5
Nothing worth noting.
Hardrockfoo 5/5
this was the first webcomic that i ever read, and im happy this was my first. I have gotten many people addicted to this webcomic and it inspiered me to start my own. I will also recomend the subcomics on there sight. have fun reading
zero_X 5/5
Can I go above 5 stars? Seriously, this is the BEST COMIC EVER!!! The storyline isn't hard to pick up on at all, although I'll admit I was a little intimidated when I first came to the comic and discovered that I was behind in 4 years worth of comics.
wutasumi 2/5
Sure, this used to be a wonderful comic, but around the time of the Third Megaman Game (oddly enough, about the time Megaman started to suck) it got staler and staler. Now it should be put into the list of comics that should just die.

Bob and George...whats not to love? Dave is a god among insects for a very good reason.
Gothann 5/5
An excellent comic. With very few self-referrencial comments within the comic, anyone can pick up on the storyline at any given time.

It's cult! Really deserves a top 10 ranking ...

The hell? I agree with ailguorgnapoergn. Why is this not doing in the Top 10? Sure, there are a lot of better sprite comics than this, but none of them are on The Webcomic List. So I suggest that whoever ranks all these comics should put Bob and George into the top 10 before something like Super Adventure Quint gets into the list.
ailguorgnapoergn 5/5
why isnt this comic higher up on the list???!!!!!!!!!!
Zen 5/5
No comments. Reading Bob and George will be more than enough.

"The Grand Daddy of Em All."

This comic is incredible beyond words. The author, Dave Anez, not only provides this excellent comic to us, but also offers free hosting for people to post up fancomics and such - a truly AWESOME comic. There honestly are not enough stars with which to rate this.
Andrew 5/5
BnG has brought together almost 2000 readers in daily, and has been running for the past 5 years. Dave Anez has brought in many, many good laughs, and has not yet left a plothole unfilled. this webcomic deserves a six star rating!
Andrew 5/5
I love Bob and George so much. In my opinion, it is the best comic there is. It's like a comedy version of a not-so complicated soap opera.
Sek 5/5
The first sprite webcomic created, Bob and George creates quite a legacy to live up to. Starting off as a filler for a hand drawn webcomic, it created a life of it's own. Offering a huge array of characters (Some from the games, some just made up) with zany personalities and the "true" plots of the Mega Man games, Bob and George is a must for any webcomic fan with an inkling of a sense of humor.
