Synopsis:
Pfirsich Rommel is The Desert Peach - the gay younger brother of Erwin Rommel, The Desert Fox! Follow these two brothers as they lead The Afrika Korps to glory for the greater good of Germany, all the while the Nazi Party slowly gains a foothold back in the fatherland. A unique mix of thoroughly researched history with the slightest tweak on reality. See German soldiers as the truly were - real human beings trying hard to survive in an ever-shifting political environment. Plus having to deal with homophobia, pedophilia, gender wars, race wars, and leading a war in a far-away exotic climate! Humor and fancy and intelligence and high drama all collide in THE DESERT PEACH.

| I\'ve been a huge fan of Donna Barr and THE DESERT PEACH ever since she got a Xeric Grant to publish the first big DP Graphic Novel collection back in the 90\'s. I was FLABBERGASTED that comics could be so f&*#&in\' good! It blew my mind. Over ten years later, it\'s still blowing my mind. And now it\'s online and every. single. day. with a new page. Starting from the very beginning, one page a day, the whole series reprinted online with new print editions coming back INTO print. Yay! This is 5 Stars all the way, baby. This is one of the smartest comics ever made. Check it. |
