Synopsis:
Ever since the red lightning first manifested five years ago men and women with strange powers have emerged. The world is host to dozens of these "surges" and Carter City is no exception. This is the home of Upgrade, AKA Camron Kilroy, the machine-mimic hero. He's had a year to work on his act, but more and more people are figuring out his weakness. His only hope may be a new surge who has the strength, speed, and cool-man-cool of ten beatniks.
