W.C.Pope -- picked up a pencil and
started drawing around the same time
his grandmother gave him a 126 kodak
camera INSPIRING him to create with
both since his youth. Although his
photography hasn’t been very funny,
his cartoons have a propensity toward
the humorous. He dipped his pen into
the pro-cartooning realm in the 80’s
with cartoons published in Starlog
and other magazines no one has heard of. He also
published his own comics in the small press arena
under the name of Paradox productions. He
created such non-hits as Arthur’s world and
weird comix. He went on to create the almost-
popular-strip pop-tarts, about a garage band
whose members are caught up in pop-culture. During
all of this hoopla he was a photo-Journalist for the
Air Force Reserve and has been their official cartoonist
since 1991 with his single-panel cartoon pope’s puns.
He retired from the reserve earlier this year with
a lot of extra weekends on his hands so he created
this strip, Over exposure for the internetz...
combining two creative outlets into one heckuva
blockbuster cartoon! now that’s funny!
