Lord Commodore Ranor Broxton of the Battle Cruiser Orius and Lady Alianna Broxton, Commander of Planet Pirene, are heading a new task force to explore a nebula.
They are both excited because this is their first mission together since they were married. Before Ranor can reach her, an invasion strikes.
Alianna's base is the first to fall... Ranor is forced into a hopeless battle where his own weapons turn against him. Then things get worse from there...
