Under the tail end of the lunar year of the ox, 4:44AM on January 4th of 1986, within the grand country of Taiwan, a child was born. At the time, he had yet to obtain a proper name, thus for one week after his birth, he was only referred to as "Ban ban". After being brought to the local fortuneteller however, his name was decided to be "Guo Han", which roughly translates into the "kingdom's quill". While the child's family no doubt was hoping for this to be a sign that he would grow up into a scholarly calligrapher, Guo Han, now more widely known as Hans, is not quite a scholar, and his penmanship is really bad actually. Having since relocated to the west coast of America, he delights in watching anime, playing video games, playing the violin, wasting time and effort, and sleeping. But he also likes drawing, and although the quill is not exactly among his tools of trade, perhaps this is a testament to say that the fortuneteller was in fact *not* a complete phoney.
