In a shallow, selfish, and materialistic world a failed novelist named Lupin tries to find love despite being unfortunately born with a tail. While trying to find a girl who isn't bothered by the tail he also has to deal with skin-heads who harass him for being a furry, even though he's not. Although he is now making a living as a political cartoonist Lupin feels hopeless because he isn't moving towards his goal of being a novelist. Accompanying him is his roommate and best friend Kawaii. Although she and Lupin have a crushes on each other there is some unspoken tension keeping them apart. Will they get together or will Lupin's bitterness towards an unkind world ruin both of their lives?
