Comic: Menage a 3 2/5
The premise is interesting: a nerd getting two new roommates: a hot punk girl with similar interests and a clueless Swedish girl with \"epic boobs\". The execution is flawed. The stories take forever to go somewhere, and often in a different direction than where they started. Conversations that should have started and ended within one or two strips are stretched out for a few week\'s worth. As of this writing, they just got through 9 strips (3 weeks) of just two characters chatting in a coffee shop. The way the previous storyline played out was like this: landlady inquiring about the new housemates > the punk chick showing off her boobs > a party > presenting the gift of a desk durable enough for two men to have sex on. No flow or cohesion, just random events thrown together. Which would have been fine if they weren\'t setting them up as chapters. And they already have a Cafe Press store set up?
Comic: Twisted Kaiju Theater 5/5
Shin Goji's come a long way from his humble beginnings, where he would just take a picture of some figures and place word bubbles over it. Like Godzilla himself, his technique has evolved dramatically, but the humor is as top-notch as it always has been. We are even surprised with serious storylines every once in a while. But poop jokes trump all.
Comic: Power Rings 4/5
As a fan of SegaSonic and a former fan of ArchieSonic, I enjoy seeing horrible storylines get skewered by the hilarious team of Kamal, G30FF, and Gear. The life of every major character is a living hell under the control of this trio of mammals and machine.
Comic: Grim Tales from Down Below 4/5
I discovered this comic because I'm a huge fan of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. The art is insanely great and presents a nice alternate timeline to its source material. It's a welcome treat to see cameos from characters from different shows and movies. But I hope it doesn't rely too much on other people's properties.
Comic: Lowroad 4/5
Explores the humorous side of darkness. The art is awesome and fitting. You never know what to expect in the next entry. Will Natasha summon another demon, or will Doom Piggy decide to use his perverseness to benefit good or evil? And I didn't even mention the fan service...
Comic: Penny Arcade 5/5
If anything should be required viewing for gamers, this is it. The drawing is superb, and the humor is always dead-on. It also features a great ensemble of second and third string characters. With everything that grew from this simple webcomic, such as charities, gatherings, merchandise, and games, the greatness of Penny Arcade transcends the Internet. Long live Penny Arcade!
Comic: Trouble Down Pit 4/5
It's a welcome surprise to see Mata of "The Other Side" fame foray into the realm of web-comics. His unique art style and darkened sense of humor will be great to see on a more regular basis. After seeing all of his animations, it'll be very interesting to see what unfolds in the future of Trouble Down Pit.
