| He atually teaches you quite a lot in his ramblings abter the comics. Call me a nerd but him disscuing maxwells equations and how they affect magntizim and electricity was actualy very interesting |

Consistently funny. The interweaving of different storylines means its like getting 4 or 5 comics for the price of one (there are 4 major storylines and 13 smaller ones).
Unlike some people I like the annotations. It's always interesting to see what the author thinks about a joke as sometimes he views it in a different way to me which makes it even funnier. |

I have to admit this one took a bit of getting into, mostly because I found all the fantasy characters so darn confusing. (Actually I usually skip the fantasy ones and read the ones I can follow. Also I'm just a lego fan, although I do read OotS, which is great.)
I would have given it four stars, but for one thing that drives me up the wall - almost every comic comes with its own commentary!!! It's just not funny when everything that's funny about the strip is explained in detail, with references to Wikipedia and related trivia.
Sometimes, because my internet connection is slow, I end up reading the whole commentary before the actual comic has loaded, so I know what the punchline is before I read it.
(I know there's a 'no commentary' cookie, but for some reason it doesn't work on either Safari or Firefox on my computer, and yes I do know how to turn the cookies on if that was your next question. Maybe, oh I don't know, set the annotations cookie to be off by default? I'm one of only two voting individuals here, my stars count.) |
