Comic: Counter Culture 5/5
Awesome art and writing. I think Im in love!
Comic: Alice in Roboland 4/5
Wonderful. I love it so far.
Original artwork,
Nice writing.
Within a year this could very well be the next big thing depending on how the rest turns out.
Comic: Star Cross'd Destiny 1/5
This comic doesnt even really deserve a 1, but I'll give it out anyway to be nice. Its full of cliche writing, stereotypical characters, and cheap art. Theres absolutely nothing original about this comic. The explanation for various "powers" is wholly unplausable; very little more than pseudo science at best. The writer would have been better off to leave it unexplained or at least seek out something that might possibly work. There was no potential in this premise to begin with considering the ammount of times its all been done before. Done to death you might say. Every bit of it is just laughably stupid. So I guess the 1 is for humor.
Comic: 10k commotion 4/5
I dont play DDR, but this comic rocks.
Comic: MegaTokyo 1/5
Used to love it, now I hate it. Caston left and obviously took the MegaTokyo I loved with him. Theres supposedly some storyline going on but I fail to see anything but slow angsty ramblings in a cliche wannabe japanese romance manga. Perfect example of how good things go bad so easily. I mean, really. He supposedly had this story planned for ages? Its more like hes just making it up as he goes along. If he wanted it to be this way fromt he beginning he should have started out this way. It took so many years of thought and planning to reach this point and completely fall from its former grace? I find it hard to beleive that it was intended all along that MegaTokyo would just break off and nearly instantly change styles like that.

I never liked the art, only the writing. The art is just as unoriginal as the plot as become lately. Sketchy is nice when its extremely detailed, but that style just looks really cheap when left uninked.
My final opinion? MT has fallen. I have nothing against Fred, but his comic needs serious work if he wants to keep it alive.
Comic: 8-bit Theatre 5/5
The only sprite comic I enjoy. Absolutely amazing. Brian is hands down the best writer working on any webcomic thus far. One of the few, one of the great.
Comic: Sinfest 5/5
My one complaint is that its too funnypaperish for me. I grew out of the traditional sunday paper stip style years ago. The jokes are hilarious though. I especially love the god portions.
Sure the jokes may center around the same props, but are the props used the same way every time? No, not at all. Sinfest manages to keep itself fresh and running on the "same old" props because all the jokes are so diferrent yet so familiar. Once I got over the annoying sunday paper style strips I fell in love. I'll sell my soul to Sinfest over most comics any day.
Comic: VG Cats 5/5
This comic is godly.
I've heared some people complain about it being trash (or just plain non-existant) humor, and sure sometimes it resorts to "potty humor", but none of it comes off as plain rehash. VG Cats is an insane thrill-ride as far as gaming parody comics go, and sometimes thats just what I need. Most of the negative comments on this humor being complete garbage have been made by prudes I'm sure, and honestly I find it annoying. Even in other comments on other comics I hear this comic trashed constantly for being "low scum" so to speak. In my mind its a perfect example of, as a friend of mine puts it, being "mature enough to be immature." The artist/writer is a no holds barred kind of guy, and why should he be? Its his comic and his choice humor. Personally I love it.

The art is unusually expressive in simplistic ways, unlike the cheap copy paste jobs you see in quite a few other comics.
Comic: Mac Hall 5/5
One of the few stand out comics in a sea of brainless nothing. Not only is this comic beautiful and humorous, but intelligent. Mac Hall occasionally has a message and speaks it loud and clearly. Gotta love the character Drew for that.

I much prefer this over the tasteless humor in most other comics. Mac Hall is great, but watch out or the jokes may occasionally slip past you if youre looking for more cliche day-in-day-out humor.
In terms of art, this comic is top notch. If theres one bad thing to say about it, is that the style is just so unstable. In my mind that isnt such a bad thing. The artist is constantly improving and trying new things and has recently settled on a style that outdoes pretty much everything else out there. Its sleek, professional, and entertaining.
This was the second comic I read; Megatokyo was the first. Frankly speaking I feel that Mac Hall has aged rather well, where as MT has pretty much imploded on its once genius glory.
