|
|
So I'm drawing tomorrows comic, its about the transformers and I have to indicate the sound that they make when a transformer transforms. I was thinking something like:
*Kee*
*Koo*
*Koo*
*Keh*
I know that there was a Transformers comic book that might answer this question as a definitive, but for all my searching I can not find it displayed anywhere.
It's 4 am right now, Ima finish up using my idea of the fraze, but if anyone can fill me in (possibly with examples) on what the actual spelling is I would love it.
I can always go back in and edit it for posterity's sake.
Hope someone out there knows,
Thanks _________________

David Willis used the sound in It's Walky... somewhere. People recognised it although I didn't.
I have no idea where though. Might want to ask on it's forums.

"What is the meaning of life?"
"Why are we here?"
"Is there an afterlife?"
"How do you literally spell out the transforming sound?"
These are questions mankind may never grasp the answer to, but we will continue to seek them out regardless. I admire that we are a determined species... _________________

As someone who has watched entirely too much Transformers in his youth and has been replicating the sound ever since, I've found that most people have understood "chik-chak-chek-chok-chuk" alongside an image of something transforming. Remember to reverse these sounds if someone is transforming from a vehicle to a robot, however.
Now you've got the touch.
You've got the poweeeeeer!_________________

The words that people have been known to say is:
" Ree Raw Ree Row Reet "
At least on a couple gaming comics.. notably Extra Life... so it would be consistant with what is out there.
EDIT: Oh, and this is supposed to be for the Old School sound. _________________

I concur with MannPower. There's definitely "ch" sounds in the front of those sound effects. If I saw it spelled the way he did, I would understand it was the transformer sound from the cartoon._________________ Pagan Comic - The Many Moons of Astra

In the past, I've written it as CHUR-CHUR-CHOO-CHOH. But I was going by twenty-year old memories, not having watched an episode since. _________________ |

What about a "chr" sound? Eh? Best of both worlds?
Although yeah, I agree that between the two, "ch" sound > "r" sound. _________________

Looks like DJ beat me to it. But I still wouldn't spell it that way, personally. But if I saw that sound effect coupled with an image of a robot tranforming, like the comic Fes posted, it isn't like I wouldn't understand. I'd just go "Man, that sound effect isn't spelled the way I would spell it."
