Yeah, I'm gonna do the lame new person thing and ask for suggestions for a new comic to read.
I read a variety of webcomics but I'm in the mood for another story driven one. I like webcomics about groups of friends and their zany lives like Something Positive, Girls with Slingshots, Questionable Content, Queen of Wands, and Tweep. Anyone have any suggestions of a webcomic like those? I don't mind if the it's already finished, then I won't have to deal with the "archive vs. current effect".
Thanks. |

Hmm... Least I Could Do sounds like it could be up your alley, particularly the middle years.
Uh, my own webcomic seems to more or less fit your criteria too (with an added alien invasion arc for good measure), though it's fairly different tonally from the comics you mentioned (with the possible exception of Something Positive) [/shameless plug] _________________ A Game of Fools - Updates Monday and Thursday |

Seems like you enjoy: Hip charming characters living in the a medium sized city with a gag a day premise for sometimes deep story arcs. Also an anthropomorphic sidekick for one shot ha-has!
Oh and slick amazing art.
I mostly just replied so I could mark the thread and hear what people suggest to you I'd like to know too! |

Boxer Hockey may be worth checking out. It's not necessarily similar to the comics you listed, but it's a pretty funny comic with a zany story. Tyson Hesse ended the main storyline though, so now it's mostly gags. He may or may not return to occasional character development in the future. _________________ Walnut Grove // deviantART |

Try Darwin Carmichael is Going to Hell, Bobwhite, Flaky Pastry, Octopus Pie or Sequential Art. I guess there's also Wapsi Square but I gave up on it a while back. The earlier strips were pretty decent, though. _________________ |

Templar, AZ is excellent. You may also like Between Failures, Penny and Aggie, or the (finished) Home on the Strange. Er. Most of the rest of my reading list is out-and-out fantasy or science fiction, so if you're okay with that let me know and I can come up with a few more suggestions....

I would like to humbly offer up my comic as a suggestion. It is called Gar's Space @ www.thespaceofgar.com. I am moving in right now so I only have the latest story arch loaded. But I am trying to move in as fast as possible.
Thank you for your consideration.

Scary-Go-Round just sort of ended (Allison's new comic is in the same universe but only maintaining a few of the characters).
Your enjoyment of the comic will depend on whether you like his unique style of prose. IMO its one of the best comics out there. _________________ |

Or you could try that crappy "Autumn Lake" comic. Man, I dunno what that guy is thinking. I guess there's some zaniness in there... somewhere. I dunno, maybe it's just not for me. Some people read it, I guess, but hey, no accoutning for taste, right? But anyway, you may like it. _________________ Mooncity
