Ha, thanks.
That's a really great idea with the extra panel and all.
My mind is twisted, though, and I like to leave the elephants in my world to suffering.
Oh... and new comic! Looky:

So, I decided to make the jump to a new web host, and installed Wordpress/Comicpress. It's a lot nicer.
Everythiing looks all different now, though. (again )
Take a look, and fill the empty blog comment sections up.
P.S... new comic is up! _________________

I like your toons too, Man. My favorite was the New Earth one. I like "outer space" as a theme. We also both like The Devil as a character.
I live in Crafton right now, but I need to find a new place ASAP, and miss living in the city.
What localmag are you printed in? I kind of gave up on getting published a while back. Anything even close to mainstream and there are so many rules... and my ideas just don't usually apply, but I would love to not have to squeeze out toons in my rare free time, ya know... getting paid for it would be a dream.

Thanks!
I'm printed nowhere locally to The Burgh yet... but back when I was in northern Maryland, I was printed in my local newspaper, and had a brief run in an online magazine thing.
Seems to be alternative mags are the best deal for our type of humor. _________________

2 new strips this week! They're both experimental art-wise compared to typical Land of Nodd strips. Good fun.
P.S... here's a fun little tagline from a recent review of my comic:
"Reading ‘Land of Nodd’ can’t be that much worse than getting lung cancer."-- The Webcomic Watchman
WOW.
EDIT: Make that 3 new strips this week. _________________

The Mom one made me chuckle.
I have a dirty mind, definitely would have liked it more if I saw the lesbians.
Maybe its just me but I think too many of the webcomic artists on here worry about a consistent style. I think style is almost irrelevant as long as your themes are consistent. Unless you have a narrative based comic. I also think that style just develops naturally out of creating product. The more comics you make, the more your style will improve.
Ever read "Perry Bible Fellowship"? Check it out. www.pbfcomics.com
Nick changes his style to fit his jokes, but the humor and themes are always consistent.

I agree. I think changing up your style helps you grow as an artist... and it keeps things interesting, too. Really, if one is drawing the same way for 100+ strips, then are you really getting anywhere? You may perfect that particular style, but that's it. I've been trying to change up my style from strip to strip recently for this reason.
I love PBF. One of my top comics.
[cliche excuse]No beer for me for me 'cause I like to stay clear and here and in the now[/cliche excuse]
I have some strips planned for the future that will probably include naked chicks, so don't worry. _________________

"An intelligent man is sometimes forced to be drunk to spend time with his fools." - Ernest Hemingway
.....but he took his own life with a shotgun in Idaho...
I just think it'd be cool to meet like minded people in town. The Burgh isn't too big. I work in town and usually kill time in afternoons drawing comics and hanging at bars. While its still sunny, me, you, and bearandkitten should introduce ourselves.

Indeed! I go to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, so I can generally be found in that area. _________________

...So... several new comics since I last bumped this thread.
Read them and give me praise.
Thanks. _________________

How many comics strips does one need to put out your comic in book form? 100... more? Once my archives slowly fill up to the point where I have "enough" strips to fill a book, I'd like to do so. _________________

I think rather than a number, it should be decided by how many people might want to buy it.
Once there, I'd say at least 150-200. _________________ S*P*Q*R |

Yeah, that sounds a lot more feasible too. I'll probably wait 'til I'm a bit in the hundreds and then start asking my readers if any of them would like to buy a book, before going through with making them. _________________

So, how are some of the new strips?
I feel Nodd has become increasingly darker over time. Aging like a fine wine.
It's not on purpose, though, I swear. _________________
