What would be the best way to end a comic, especially if you may pick it up again some time down the road.

Pretend to be hacked by a porn site and spend a few weeks showing nothing but badly-photshopped celebrity faces on pornstar bodies.

Watterson. Snow. Like a big sheet of drawing paper. Full of possibilities.

Rocks fall, everyone dies.

Oh, wait, you said you wanted to pick it up again...

You could pick it up again in the underworld! Or reincarnate the characters. Have them look almost exactly the same and have almost exactly the same names, but not quite.

Or you could kill of characters and then, when picking up the story again later, pass it off with "it was all a dream", possibly with the addition of "drug/alcohol-fueled" before "dream".

Why not just have the story come to a natural ending that still leaves enough possibilities open for a new one to start later?

(Or is that too obvious?)

Let your domain name expire and surprise your readers with that ubiquitous GoDaddy 404 page.

Wait, are you saying that your domain name has to actually expire for that to happen?

This is true! I'll have to end my comic that way! Too bad it has a plotted ending and no underworld... yet. Twisted Evil

I'm sorry, rocks fall and everyone dies is my favorite lame ending, right next to 'and everything exploded'.

If you're that worried about it, you're not really letting go of it, so you're not really ending it Wink

Resolve any plotlines currently happening and say 'see ya! and thanks!' clearly and directly. If you need to resume later, make new plotlines Smile
