I created an ad just earlier. Waiting on it to be activated.
I hope it all goes well. _________________ |

I think you're supposed to activate it yourself. _________________ |

Ok, thanks.
I guess I'm used with having to wait for stuff to be activated by others.
It's active now. ^^ _________________ |

If you made a default ad to go there it might look a little better than all that "your ad here" spam--like an ad/link to your shop or something. _________________ |

Ok, I'm going to ask for help.
I have an ad box on my page, it should be there, I used both codes, it's active and (apparently) working but I don't see it on my site. AT ALL.
I asked a friend from the US and she cant see it either.
So, it's 'working' and useless. On my site-making program, it shows up where it should be.
Help?
I asked PW if they could see it, they read the mail and checked my site, but never replied. _________________ |

There's something wrong with the adbox code on your page.
I can see it in your HTML but it isn't highlighting properly (parts that should be in purple and green, denoting various types of PHP and HTML code, are showing in black instead, denoting plain text. The loader code is running properly however.
Also, your adbox code has lots of <noscript> markers in it, but not many </noscript> markers. I'm not sure what's going on there.
I suggest deleting all the adbox code (as well as making sure there's nothing sat before it that might break the code when you replace it) and copy-pasting a new block of code from the PW website. Maybe that will sort it out. _________________

Weird. I see enough <noscript></noscript> (two of each) tags and I put in the exact code their site generated. :/
And in DW I can see the ad banner well where it should be.
EDIT: I got it to show up now. looks like THOSE tags were the culprit. _________________ |

Hi all!
I've been publishing my comic for a year now, and I think it is time to give advertisement a chance, and I'm going the PW way. Hope this is a good place to post my request, mods feel free to relocate this post.
I am humbly requesting and accepting all advice on:
* best practices for maximizing exposure per penny when bidding on ads
*best practices on add space on my page, to minimize intrusiveness, maximize revenue (a real conundrum, right?)
Thanks in advance, I will try and advertise on fellow blogger pages, let the income stay here!
Best

OK guys,
After playing with the ComicPress conf files to make the layout wide enough for it, I have added my first PW space to my comic.
It is a nifty half banner at the top of the right panel, so grab it now that is fresh =)

If your ad space averages less than 1 cent per day for a few months, PW will send you a warning about cancelling your advert. I believe they do this to conserve database space due to the vast amount of webcomics that simply stop updating. |
Ditto. I'm speaking from experience. All you have to do is to replace the ad. Anyway, on my Website disgruntledcomics.com, I have two skyscraper ad spaces, one on the left, and the other on the right, a leaderbord on at the very bottom, and above that is a banner ad space. |
