The only reason I maintain facebook pages for my comics is so real readers can get updates in their newsfeed... What's the point of the fake likes? i mean, I've never met anyone who reads a comic because it looks "popular" - they read it because the comic itself was decent.

So, what exactly is the appeal of the Moleskine sketchbook, aside from the name brand and cool story? I've seen them and played with them (via someone who owned one,) but I fail to see what's so special about them? They're made in China and are acid-free, but so are the much nicer hardcover sketchbooks that you get at Barnes & Noble's cheapie rack for half as much.

Then again, I am generally content with buying Bristol board in bulk. I seriously lack snob points on this one.

I don't really get it either.
There are other brands of equal quality and much lower price. The company have been making notebooks for 15 years that are supposed to be like the notebooks other people had been making for decades and decades. Then they moved production to another country where it's cheaper to make things.

Other than trademarking a name that someone else had previously coined what exactly makes them any different from their competitors?

I know, right? If they were made in Italy, by hand, and with the highest quality material, they might be a great accessory for a snob-off. But they really aren't that at all.

I love trendy when it's done right, (gimme a break, I'm an ex-model) and I don't even get Moleskine. I guess I feel that luxury item should actually be... hmmm... I dunno... luxurious. I don't want to spend a thousand dollars on a t-shirt that looks like it came out of a dumpster located near a shooting range. That's kind of how I feel about those stupid sketchbooks.

I carry the small Moleskine soft cover, 9x14 cm. It fits great in a back pocket so I can always write down my ideas. Plus, I hate the whole "grab phone, go to contacts, create contact, update, blah blah blah" thing when exchanging phone numbers. Sometimes it's just easier to write it down.

I'm a little too lazy to go through 51 pages to see if my points have already been said but...

*Spelling grammar (pretty sure this one was mentioned on page one at least twice)

*Women who have boobs that are bigger than their heads

*Women wearing bikinis into battle

*Men who look like the incredible hulk

*Said men somehow being able to move fast (that much muscle would be inhibitive to movement)

*pointy elbows

*Stories with basically no point other than to be a wet-dream of the artist (can go either way as the first 30-50 pages of School Bites shows)

*Damsels in Distress, Smurfettes, Manic Pixie Dream Girls, Straw Feminists, Man with Boobs syndrome, and women characters that fall victim to the 'Women in Refrigerators' trope

Basically, most of the ones that come to mind right now are comics where the male artist/writer has too much testosterone and doesn't know or care about women enough to make a believable female character.

OH COME NOW!!! Women with bigger boobs then there heads!! that is sooo believable, i mean just think, bigger boobs no back issues pointy elbows, come on, you know you want to see if they popped there huge boobies and see the after effects!!!

I'm pretty sure the women they draw have boobs full of helium, so I bet they'd shoot around the room like a loose balloon if poked with a pointy elbow. I'm actually hoping to see this one day actually.
