Sweet poster, with the flagpole through the head. The only thing about the greyscale pic is that it looks as if Valkin just cut his own dangly bits off. I dunno if that's intentional but it certainly made me go "Oooh!" Good stuff, I like reading the comic. _________________ |

And so here I am for the month of August to shamelessly plug my comic in the desperate hope to gain readership. I've thrown in some art to sweeten the pot. Enjoy and feel obligated to share your thoughts.

That's a nice-lookin' pic, mooby. Could make a fine vote incentive on TopWebComics or similar. _________________ |

I am totally in love with the concept here and the art is totally fitting. The old school dot shaded backgrounds really make the artwork pop.
If I had one criticism it would be that I think the claw weapon is just a tad too derivative.
Other than that... good work, my friend. _________________ http://thedefective.com/ updates Monday and Thursday. |

Thanks for the kind words dustin85. You're probably right about the claw but I can't help myself.
Just to let everyone interested know, Monster Zero's update schedule has changed. Thought I'd share.

Figured I'd give myself a bump for the month.
Chapter 3 - Shout at the Devil is moving along nicely. We've got Valkin heading off to hell to battle Satan. We've got a group of terrorist werewolves going up against the Order. And the plot keeps thickening as our mystery monster prepares to unleash his evil ambitions on Houstown.
We're updating on Tuesdays and Thursdays now @ 6:AM.

It's bump time!
M-Zero is progressing erratic but steady. I'm still averaging 2 pages a week.
I'm building toward a short and sweet Halloween special come the end of the month. Issue 3 will wrap up to make room for this.
Here's a sneak peek:

Nice! I like the broken Moon. Comic's scoring high on action-packed mayhem and story. _________________ |

Shameless bump time...with a little bit of news!
So I fucked around and totally caved in on doing the Halloween Special in a different style. I got three pages into it and decided it was just complete shit and trashed it. What happened after that I can't really recall but somehow I was able to redraw the first five page in a single day. My brain is still a puddle of gravy after that.
Another fucked up part to my oh-so ambitious plan is that the Halloween Special is still going! What I had intended to be no more than nine to ten pages is now running thirteen and with the ending vaguely in sight.
I've been updating everyday for the last two weeks. It's been pure hell but I'm determined to finish it.
Here's some abandoned art to entice you into check the comic out now.
Honestly, I'm fucking terrible at promoting.
Share the love! _________________ |

Finished up my Halloween Special last week. It took much longer than I had anticipated but I was pleased with the outcome. If anyone gets a chance, please give it a read through and tell me what ya think.
I'm still learning this web comic thing and could use the advise of anyone willing to give it. Website, writing, grammar, drawing, everything is useful. I'm nine months into working on my crazy comic with a little over a 100 pages under my belt and haven't the slightest clue if I'm making something that entertains folks or not. I'm curious how my work is perceived. But then, I guess all creators are.
Any and all is appreciated.

Disappointing that you're not getting more feedback, the comic's full of dramatic sequences and poster shots that compliment the cool storyline. _________________ |

Another month, another pimp!
Monster Zero is still chugging along. What little reaction I've been getting has been fairly positive. Grammar seems to be an issue on most people's mind when they read it. I can't defend against the complaint. I'm no writer but I write none the less. I've been getting better I think at conveying my ideas but without a second pair of eyes looking it over there will still be errors from time to time.
Overall I'm still damn proud of my work on this. What started out as an merely an exercise had turned into a giant mythology in my head. There's still a ton of story to be told. Looking forward to future.
Here's a quick painting and a new logo.
