I'm looking for someone who would like to co author a sprite web comic with me! the sprites are based on Seiken Densetsu 3 (secret of mana 2) i want to run it on two different story lines. 3 characters per story line. im working on some roughed out comics.

these are a few preferences and i can provide some things
Via contact by e-mail.

-adobe photoshop 6.0 or higher
-Flash MX 2004 or higher
-at least some knowlege of html
-some knowlege of the game
or the means to play it so
you can gain it

I have chosen my 3 characters but to be fair i will negotiate some of it.
Smile this isnt just a situation where we only talk business i'm a friendly guy and when co-authors are friends things work out better! tell me what you think! if you have sample work of comics youve done post it up lemme see what you got!

Sprite comics indeed require a lot of work to look good, that's why most sprite comics look like rubbish.

Even tho I meet all criteria of your request, I am going to pass on this wonderful opportunity.

Good luck with your search tho

I did a sprite comic once.

Err... Move along. Nothing to see here.

What's so fun about making a sprite comic if you're not using original sprites anyway? Question

It's like fanfiction only in the opposite direction. That's my understanding, anyway. Look at Nuclear Theatre. (or whatever it was called)

Moved to relevant forum.

One small bit of advice. You're making a lot of grammatical errors and even if you're a lot more careful about this with your actual comic it still gives a bad impression of your abilities as a writer. Also it would be good if you can give some examples of your work. There aren't many people that post around here that do sprite comics but they do pass through occasionally and you need to make am extra good impression if you want to fins someone to join you.

A place that may be more open to your request is the Smack Jeeves Forums. They tend to have a higher amount of sprite comic makers than most places.

thanks I guess I think I can get help I need here. I'm working on an example right now! As it is. I'll keep the grammar thing in mind. I would never let a comic be completed with bad grammar.

Do I get all pretentious and say I do a pixel-art comic?? Razz

Seriously, doing work with sprites and such myself (with more than a fair share of original art), I can say that it does take a good deal of talent to pull it off.

I will reiterate what wendyw said--there are not many spriters on this forum. And the general support for those types of comics is not very strong.

I would recommend heading over to Pixeljoint or Pixelation. You'll find a lot more people who not only love and support pixel-art/spriting, but artists who are more exprienced in this medium.

Here is the pilot episode of the comic! Yes it's a gif, No the comic wont be all the time. Where a gif is possible I'll make them. its going to be a 4 to 6 panel square or rectangle. please tell me what you think.
