Post here if your comic's profile on TWCL is fishy.
(because we can't fix your comic if it's actually broken, that's up to you)
Make sure to include:
URL to the comic profile
URL to the comic
The problem...
As usual, for fastest service it'd be best to email ash: ash@this site
Edit + explanation:
The best, and I mean "close to the only working-" way to get any problem fixed is to email ash at ash@ this site.
Even though he's a busy monkey, he now employs people to read his email so your problem will at least be noticed pretty quick.
Depending on the problem it could take a while to get sorted.
A way to make absolutely sure that the crawler bot (or wriggler bot as we call it these days) notices updates, even when you change your site layout pretty often is to include a comment with the date of your last update, like:
<!-- updated: 28-03-07 -->
This means a little more work for you (or your techie minions) but at least you can mess around with your comic page without the site getting confused.

The problem is that I try to keep changing the archive address from the current one to the real archives page (http://www.plusonecomics.com/archives.html). I keep sending in requests but it's been a few months and no go. Could you help me change it? |

I have been trying to get my web address for "Welcome To Falling Oaks" for quite awhile but nothing has happened.
This is the new address "http://fallingoaks.com" hopefully this will trigger the updates |

|

I updated the website so that it now utilized the WALRUS archiving system, and it was working for a strip or two but then stopped. I haven't changed the site since except to add more strips. Here's the info:
Profile URL: http://www.thewebcomiclist.com/p/9240/take-it-like-a-husband
Comic URL: http://www.takeitlikeahusband.com
Error: Pattern Not Matching
If someone could tell me what to do to avoid this error that would be great. TWCL is the best comic database going, and I want to use it to its fullest potential.

Mine screws up every couple of months. I think it is Drupal. It'll go a month working, then a month not working. I've tried everything. There needs to be a guide on how to get this to work. TWCL is the best thing going right now for comic databases. _________________ tbowl |

I've edited the first post to provide more information.
I can not help you personally with the functioning of the site itself, so I strongly advise to contact the admin, our beloved Ash. |

That's cool, it has to be the content management systems though. Maybe because the data is stored in a backend and not hardcoded upfront or something. I wonder if there is any part of Drupal that would be stored upfront somewheres. Same with the rest of the CMS's. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. _________________ tbowl |

I've been getting a "Pattern not matching" since the 14th of March.
I updated my comic on Sunday, my Archive and URL just swapped and I'm still getting Pattern not matching.
I've heard of this happening to others as well, so I'm just posting here... if there's something special we need to do for our various CMS's it'd be great to know. _________________ tbowl |

Where in the code should this comment be put? Are you talking right on the index page at the beginning? Say, right after the html tag? Or where would you suggest? |

This isn't my comic, but I read it and it's not working right.
http://www.thewebcomiclist.com/p/7847/minus
http://kiwisbybeat.com/minus.html
It's marked as 'not checked for updates', but the page (minus.html) contains an image of the form 'minus63.jpg', where 63 is the page number. It seems like that should be really easy to parse. |
