I started writing this series of articles on Project Wonderful as a crash course for a friend of mine on Twitter, but I decided to post it on my information site for Velvet Rasputin to share it with a wider audience. These are just some PW tricks and tips I gathered over time, and I'd like to share them here for anyone who could use them.

Really well written, nice job. Also, I hadn't realized Chimneyspeak was gone, kind of surprised by that since I'd thought they were doing pretty well.

Jack got burnt out with a lot of the subject matter, and he faced very similar webhosting censorship and advertising withdrawal issues that I faced with Slave-Butt For Satan back in the day. Which is a shame, but I can't blame him for throwing in the towel on Chimneyspeak as a self-contained webcomic.

He now has a new venture with Bum Rush Comics and he plans to do a very toned-down prequel to Chimneyspeak that will be available there as well.

I thought Chimneyspeak ended because Jack finished the story.

He finished the Chimneyspeak because the was finished dealing with all the B.S. he had to endure. His webhost at the time actually took down the whole webcomic down months before he was done with the story, because of content issues. However, they were able to work out a compromise that allowed him to conclude Chimneyspeak, on the condition that he do it ASAP. A lot of people heaped hate of him because of the rush ending, but Jack really didn't have a choice. A pity too, because under normal circumstances he is an excellent storyteller. Truly, it was a very sad way to conclude a webcomic that was so wildly successful.

Now we're buddies! If we become Facebook friends too, things will really be getting serious...

I would be your friend on FB, afterthedream, except that would involve me getting a friendable account and I am not willing to give the data miners that much information. But, it's the thought that counts. Wink

Thanks for these tips! As someone who is just recently starting out at making a webcomic with plans to use PW down the road, this kind of advice and easy to read tutorial is very useful.

Much appreciated!
