My pleasure, bravenewworld. Just call me Honest Abe. Space Abe, that is.

Are you a comic creator debating which publishing route to take - submitting to publishers or self publishing? This blog might be of interest to you. It weighs some of the pros and cons. By fellow Underdog, Jessie W Craig, founder of Charisma Kills Studios.

That's great, achaziel! Welcome aboard. Have you made an intro post yet?

A new blog has been posted at Webcomic Underdogs discussing webcomic hiatus's and abandonment. The challenges involved with keeping a webcomic running mixed with day to day life. It's a very interesting read. Read The Webcomic Graveyard. Written by Sarah Driffill, creator of Princess Chroma.

What do you charge for your freelance art? The answer - probably not enough!

Perhaps looking into entering the world of paid commissions? Maybe you're a writer looking for an artist? Check out the most recent blog series at Webcomic Underdogs - It's Called Freelancing, Not Slavery.

Thanks, comiccom! I can't say I disagree with you Smile

We are in the middle of a spotlight ketchup (catsup? catch-up?) week! So if you haven't had the chance to leave a review for a previously spotlighted comic, now's a good time to check 'em out!

For those curious - the panel at ECCC was a huge success! The room was nearly at capacity and a lot of people visited our booth afterwards for more info (you may have been one of 'em!). We will be posting a video of the event soon!

We are holding our first ever writing contest to celebrate our upcoming 1 year anniversary over at Webcomic Underdogs! The theme of the contest is - The Origin of Space Lincoln! (He's our beloved mascot.)

For more details on how to enter, go here.

We've also posted an interesting article about how to perceive and react to negative comments on your comic. Read I'll Have A Grain Of Salt With Those Comments, Please. By Robbert Tritthardt!

Thanks! Sorry our paths didn't cross again this year. Seems like every year you go we don't, and every year we go you don't, lol. Now we're in CA so we probably won't be doing any more Seattle area cons for a while, but we are looking at APE in San Fran in Oct.

Ack, I missed my chance! Well, have fun at APE! I'm assuuuuming it's smaller than ECCC, which could be nice. I don't know if you ever went to the Jet City con in Seattle, a smaller show put on by the same bunch as ECCC--I liked that one a lot more, actually had tons of time to chat with Phil Foglio, for one thing : D--that's how small it was! ECCC was just about too big for my little brain to take in. : oo
