This is a "check out someone else's comic:"
Gambit Tactics is quite good. I remember reading the first 15 or so a few months ago and thinking highly of it but my strong suit is not on-going stories...I have a poor memory and short attention span. I just went back and read the first two chapters and was as impressed as I remember being the first time.
The writing is clever enough that you never quite get a firm grasp on any of the major characters, except the main one, Terry. Terry is a teen rolling with punches coming from everywhere; he is well-realized and you get to really feel for him and you go through a lot of WTF moments with him. With the others...are they "bad guys?" Like his mom (if it's really his mom)? You're never quite sure! (And I mean that in the good way, you never think the author doesn't have it all planned out and is revealing just enough and and at just the right pace). I've been enjoying it and purposely stopped at the end of chapter 2 and am going to proceed tomorrow. Definitely worth a look.
