They are gonna send a Dingo after me!

Don't dis on the Aussies; ther record for holding the line, fighting to the last man, and general badassery is pretty damn impressive.

I was dissing Dingos. See my website where I flip off all Dingos! They are impressive fighters with a general history of badassery and will fight to the last dog. Smile

As if we could get a dingo to do anything.

I had a housemate who'd spent four years working for the Air Force transcribing chatter from radio signals and used to spend half of any given day reading web comics and blogs because there was nothing else to do when his channel had no chatter.

In his four years he didn't get so much as a blip that warranted reporting, let alone further investigation - mostly he just overheard Indonesian fishermen reporting in their locations in international waters.

Yes, but if there had been a blip on that radar, it'd have been sent to the hospital for little radar blips in pieces.

That is funny about the dingo! I was wondering if anyone got my humor.

I guess mixing serious with funny was not the best idea! I just think it is funny (and cool) that every Government in the world looks at Comic Book Web Sites! At the same time, you have to wonder if it is an individual or a web search program created by the Government.

Never underestimate the amount of people willing to slack off at their desks when they think nobody is paying attention.

Also, many military personal live in barracks or in base housing. Many are also required to periodically stay at their base overnight, doing a mix of sleeping, standing watch, and doing menial nightly tasks. For most military facilities, there is always someone there on watch, and always someone there to back them up. Those backup people usually have plenty of time to kill and nothing to do.

Add to that the fact that the military isn't a 9-to-5 desk job and its frequent hurry-up-and-wait mentality, and you've got a lot of bored soldiers.
