Every now and then I find out that the folks who do some of my favorite comics are doing other things that are pretty cool. The guy who made RPG World now works as an animation director for The Venture Bros. The lady who creates Manly Guys Doing Manly Things works as an animator for Ugly Americans (if I heard right.)
While I don't expect many people are working on such public projects for television and whatnot, I'm still curious what many of the other webcomic people here do to pay the bills.
As for myself I'm unemployed; I donated plasma to earn money. Not much to say there. _________________ My webcomic: Mischief in Maytia

I still feel as though my main day job is being a mom (or SAHM, I suppose is the official title) but I also do freelance illustration work. I did comic pages for a high school economics textbook, for example, and also a 40-pg graphic novel about the Canadian astronauts (mad props to Chris Hadfield, whose tweetpics from space are amazing) for Scholastic Education Canada. Right now I'm doing stuff for a book to-be-called "Drama Works", though those are more regular illustrations rather than comics.
Previous to kids, I spent 10 years working at a sci-fi bookstore, which was almost as wacky a career description as "webcomic artist." _________________ |

Student here. My home university is in Nebraska, but currently on a study abroad. German is my major and my minors are History, French, and Japanese.
I've had jobs for years, but I don't usually like listing those since they have no connections for the careers that I want to have. I've done food service, retail, factory work, army, and have worked as the language lab assistant at my university. I think the most interesting job I've had was working at a porn store for like 2 or 3 months. |

Freelance writer. Not the pretend movie kind that mysteriously has the money and assignments to fly all over the world nad have wacky adventures with supermodels, the boring kind that gets paid in birdseed to translate the semi-literate scribblings of technicians, lawyers, and businessmen ito something that other semi-literate technicians, lawyers, and businessmen can read so they don't blow thmselves up with a pipe fitting. _________________ What I lack in sincerity, I make up for in sarcasm.
