Deviant Art is a great place to post, share, and look for art.
But I'm a bit displeased with them at the moment, (I'm not going to say why,) and I'm wondering what other alternatives there are that I might try instead.

Apart from a personal portfolio site, of course.

I use Tumblr and Flickr in the same fashion. Never used DA.

It depends... what market are you trying to hit? Most dA alternatives are niche-specific. Having said that, iaviv is absolutely right about Tumblr and Flickr.

Sheezy Art and Elfwood were pretty popular back in the day. I don't know so much any more. I mainly just use DA.

Flickr is really a photography thing, last time I was there. And last time I was there I hit my limit of how many pictures I could upload.

Yes, the limit is really annoying, but it's not just a photography thing. There's a huge community of cartoonists, animators, artists and illustrators there.

I used StormArtists for a while. ConceptArt.com I occasionally like to peek at. But Tumblr seems to be where it's at right now.
