Ah, I feel right at home. However, all three of you are both wrong, since The Original Series was much better. It's all about pointy ears.

And Link has pointy ears in full-force. Hence, he'd fit right in on Star Trek.

Only in the original series. Obviously if they beam down to the Planet of Breakable Pots, Link would have to go down with them. However, he had better wear the green shirt and not the red one.

However, he doesn't fit in any of the other series.

Speaking of which, that's something that always bothers me. I think we may have discussed it before...

Sci-fi worlds where they go to the "Planet of the Desert" and "The Planet of Volcanos" and "The Planet of People Who Put Their Makeup on in Traffic". Has it ever occurred to these sci-fi writers that maybe, there just might be a planet with deserts AND volcanoes on it? You know, maybe there might be a planet with some kind of realistic biosphere with diverse climates and lifeforms?

Or maybe there's a planet somewhere in the universe without a single one-world-government, or single dominating culture? And just maybe, in those rare cases where you have two cultures, maybe they could actually for once be symbiotic mutually-respecting cultures, and not some three-cent me-too commentary on the perils of racism.

To be fair, we just happen to live in the small portion of Earth's temporal real estate when our world was not "the Snowball Planet" or "volcano planet" or "the planet with only one, desert, conetinent:. We are also in a green zone in our species's history where survival of our personal bloodline no longer demands that we treat anyone with even insignificant hysical differences as a deadly competitor for food and mates.

There's an episode of SG1 where a couple of the characters gate into an unknown gate buried under ice. They first assume they're on an "ice planet"

Turns out just to be Antarctica.

Perhaps. Then again, maybe we're from the Planet of Interfering Busybodies Who Go from Planet to Planet with Our Holier-than-Thou Philosophy.

I assumed that went without saying.

Unless you have a good excuse.

Or they have a lot of hot babes.

Or...you know...Castle's a re-run.
