The beauty of doing a DOUG parody is that you can parody a bunch of other stuff at the same time, because he's always daydreaming pop culture references.

His imaginative daydreams of being a super-spy, a superhero, or other pop-culture references take a turn for the more violent and sinister, as Doug becomes increasingly bitter about his undeiniable social awkwardness, and inability to woo Patty after 5+years. Quail Man is replaced by a more brutal 90′s style hero, and Smash Adams is replaced with a grittier Bourne-esque guy.
Doug’s daydreams will become increasingly paranoid, delusional, and frequent untill the reader has a hard determining whether the scene they are reading is a daydream or reality.
The story culminates with Doug seriously pondering an act of actual violence against Roger Klotz, but at the last moment his inner child/conscience, as embodied by QUAIL MAN, talks him down and convinces him to seek help.
The entire story is an allegory for the need for kids to be on drugs!
