There's a lot of writers around and not that many artists who can work regularly. If you're one of those artists, you want to pick exactly the right writer, with all the right stuff. Here's my bid.
I have done a webcomic before, which remains online at
hello earthling, and had over 200,000 views despite only being regularly updated for about a year.
I still write a lot; for example, I made a game called
The Man with the Invisible Trousers. I'm proud of that script, and a heck of a lot of the comments are people quoting different lines of dialogue. (It has gone on to get 4 million plays, largely in English-speaking countries.)
And I want to write more. Deep down, I want to write for a TV show, and I'll do everything I can to get closer to that. If that means honing my skills by writing a webcomic, so be it!
So, here's my deal:
I would like to work with an artist who is passionate about their craft, to make something really special. I haven't come here with a fixed, pre-planned idea because I want to give you a creative voice. Hate drawing fantasy things? We can make it real world. Want an emotionally gripping yet hilarious single-panel comic? Bam, we'll try it.
I want to develop my craft. I think I am a specialist at comedic narrative, though I am eager to sharpen my pen in any genre. If you've got something you'd like to do, talk to me about it!
On top of that, I have a good eye, and I am willing to give constructive criticism on every page you do. I will do my part to help you push your artistic limits. I'm looking to better my own abilities, and hopefully you will too.
Ideally, you should be aware of how much work this can be. I know we've all got tons of free time while it's summer, but please imagine how busy you are likely to be at other times of the year too.
TL;DR: I am looking for someone who is serious about their craft, so that between us we can create something incredible.
