Hello,
Are you a webcomic artist needing to take a short vacation? Want some free extra content for your webcomics site? If you have a webcomics website that may be good match with Rasputin Barxotka, then I am willing to trade and/or gift you with guest art -- it's your choice. Please note that, I will not create guest art for websites aimed towards young children or any site that does not accept NSFW content and/or advertising. Most of my art comic is for mature audiences, and I would rather not put anyone in an awkward when someone decides to drop a name on Google.
Here are some examples of previous guest/fan work:
http://blogstronomy.blogspot.com/2011/02/guest-post-star-stories-by-vas.html
http://theprophetsgarden.smackjeeves.com/fanart/
http://vaslittlecrow.deviantart.com/art/What-if-Jeff-and-Deacon-Survive-To-A-Ripe-Old-Age-281248142
http://pantiesupskirtdown.com/2011/02/03/catnose-knows-how-to-keep-her-panties-up/
If you're interested, drop me a reply below and tell me what you'd like me to draw. (Characters must be a caricature, from a comics universe that you invented, the Rasputin Barxotka comic or something that's completely made up -- nothing else. I am completely inflexible about this because I do not wish to infringe on anyone else's intellectual property.) When you put the drawing up on your site, link back to Rasputin Barxotka via http://barxotka.com or http://slavebutt.com/ as per your preference. A text link is fine, but if you need a banner, then please go here.
I will only take one on guest slot per week, first-come first-serve, so if you wish to reserve a spot, just let me know. If I am not available to create your guest art, someone else in my crew will create it for you. Turn around time will be two weeks. This offer may end at any time. Good luck and thanks for reading!
Cheers,
Vas

VLC: I can't guarntee any cross-traffic for a while (my old comic is completed and my follow-up is on hiatus while I try to learn to draw with something resemblng consitent quality), but here's a link to my archive and here's a link to the narrative on which the upcoming comic is based. if either one inspires you, I would be honored to receive fan/fill art. _________________ What I lack in sincerity, I make up for in sarcasm.

Right now, it's not even about cross traffic. What I desperately need is quality backlinks that I earned (not bought from some spammy outfit) so my Alexa/Google Page Rank moves up. If that makes sense.
Also heads up: the PDF link needs a password. _________________

Yeah...I'm an idiot. The file is pretty much just stored there and I had to use my ftp access to find it. So like a moron, i cut and pasted the ftp link in its entirety. Converted to http link, now, so it should work without requiring ftp login.
Also, yeah. I understand exactly what you mean. And Kudos to you for not going to a Google maximizer service. _________________ What I lack in sincerity, I make up for in sarcasm.

Casual Notice
I just finished the entire archives to your site and I was totally wrapped up in the whole series! After I finish the current requests, I will do some fan art for your manuscript as well. I really enjoy your writing a lot. You can download the full-size and web-ready of the art here: http://vaslittlecrow.deviantart.com/art/Casual-Notice-2012-314084684
If you want it, post it, link back, tell me, and it's yours!
It's just me speculating as to what Penny, Peri and Schmookie are doing with themselves, years after the original Casual Notice webcomic concluded. I imagine Peri is not a baby anymore, and probably up to mischief.

That is hilarious. I'll post it with backlinks by the end of next week (undergoing a server switch atm and don't want to give my admin any more fun than he needs).
Can't wait to see your interpretation of the Ghost Dancer narrative (one scene, anyway).
As an aside, I'm also planning to return to episodic gag comicking with a comic that covers the extended cast of Casual Notice called Nebraska City, TX, but that's down the road a bit (mostly because I plan to have a big buffer for it, so I don't have the deadline trouble I had with CN). _________________ What I lack in sincerity, I make up for in sarcasm.

If you are willing to do one page of Magenta the Witchgirl. That would be great. It is aimed at younger readers. So...that might not work. I do an adult webcomic called Killjoy. I wouldn't mind some guest art for that comic. Thanks for the offer. |

I most certainly can do both. If you don't want to post the Killjoy link here, PM me the link. Already working on Magenta and another guest comic for The Prophet's Garden. _________________ |

I',m always fond of guest-art for my comics. So if you like to do something for steampunk-gorgon, I would really appreciate it. |

I really appreciate your offer. As I might not have that much time to draw the stories I have in my head, I like to give yousome background informations that haven't appeared in the comic yet.
- Medusa is except for the snakes on her head completely human in appearance, and she is, like Ariane, unaging. (I have seen Medusa-cartooons showing old gorgons or some whith snakes on other regions as well.) I have modelled Medusa after women like Yvonne de Carlo, Mara Corday, Ruth Roman and Julie Addams. I think in real she would be looking like Jane Russell with the face of Hedy Lamarr.
The comic itself is definitely aimed at mature people (but not "adult" in the way it is often interpreted), so I don't have any worries. |

I don't expect you to link back to Barxotka, since I respect that your comic is SFW, but I posted this on my dA, because Magenta is so adorable, and this idea came up immediately after I finished reading the archive. I hope you like it.
You may pick up the art here, in case Yahoo decides to hate my email address as per usual:
http://vaslittlecrow.deviantart.com/art/Magenta-the-Witchgirl-Practicing-Magick-317976871
If you still would like to link somewhere work safer in return, link to http://vaslittlecrow.com.
I will be working on your adult piece as soon as I take care of some other requests in my queue. *I'm looking at you Uncle Greedy.*
Enjoy! _________________ |
