I am pretty new to using reddit. Can't figure why the posts get so many downvotes - are reddit users against promoting your own website?

Either way lets hope this idea assists the creators of longform webcomics.

In my very limited experience, there does seem to be a bias against that, yes, although it can be turned around if you have something that caters precisely to reddit-style interests.
