Hi. I'm looking for some good visual references on how teenagers ACTUALLY dressed in the late-40's and early-50's. My googling results in poodle skirts and greasers.

My guess is you'll have a difficult time finding that. People were more conscious about how things appeared in public. Even if you get good pictures, most of them will be more staged PR photos, and less real-life photos.

I'd recommend going to a local college campus (one of the big colleges, not the local community college), and talk to their journalist staff and student body if they have photos available.

Might also see if you can dig up a year book.
