The comic is a continuous story spanning several strips at a time. I didn't want to go the "gag" comic route when i was developing it. I was more or less showcasing the artwork with the examples provided. The first strip deals with people who come into the store with awful tastes in music, and the second is right after being chased by the cops. They make more sense if you go and check out the site. The backgrounds are just designs...I appreciate the comment..Let me know if you have any more questions |

Thanks...that's actually one of the strips i had the most fun with. I appreciate the feedback. I was changing spam filters on the website so sorry about the comment block. It works beautifully now.

Vinyl isn't dead. It's coming back for years stronger then it ever was. Sureley it was some progress when they started reproducing rare records that were impossible to be found or paid on CD about 20 years ago, but for some years now you get reasonable priced reproductions of real LP you had never even had a chance to see. (Sadly I can't afford to order any records on the internet, but I saw a Phafner-LP reprint for only 45 Euro in the net - whish I had some money.) I renember when it was completely impossible to get any record of the 13th floor elevators in the eighties, and I couldn't have paid it anyway if it ever had shown up. But last month when I went to the flea-market, I brought back not only a rarebird (not so rare anymore), but also a Ramases (here in germany!) and a german oak, all real records and no CD-reprint, and paid about 50 euro in total. The german oak alone would have costed several thousands as original some years ago, if it had showed up on the market at all.
Not long ago I was at a revival/farewell concert in the ZODIAK, reopened for that event, and there was a very young bloke (in his twenties) who sold reissues of rare records. I almost pitied the old, greybearded guy who walked in and dared to ask the youngster if he had any CD, too. There was no violence of course, but I think the poor old guy probably felt like some weirdo pervert asking for illegal videos as he left. |
