Not as an older man, he shaved it off, Tesla was born in 1856, so by 1930, he was 74 and he did live in the New Yorker Hotel until his death... You'll need to go further than Wiki, but you can find pictures of him as an old man

But there is a flash back to him as a younger man in my story, when he was 49, about the time the photgraph was taken...

And it is only a comic

cheers
Craig

The first issue, 40 full colour pages of Manhattan 1930 the online comic are now available to download on PDF at Drive Thru Comics for $0.99/70p UK
http://comics.drivethrustuff.com/index.php?&manufacturers_id=4440

The first issue: Empire State has prototype Nazis, Ninjas, several masked characters with various powers, but it's the two characters from history that bring the occult and steampunk elements to the first three issues.
Nikola Tesla, the legendary electrical genius and Aleister Crowley, the English Occultist and Beast."

I know quite a few of you followed this through my blog even with the rubbish tailess speech bubbles and thanks again for the top advice and your excellent support.

Yeah, the origin of steampunk science, but for real, his displays back in 1899 must have blown the audiences minds. Only a few people had electricity in their homes and he was firng lightnng bolts from his fingers, even without the free energy rumours, he was the ultimate electrical genius and a showman.
