Not as an older man, he shaved it off, Tesla was born in 1856, so by 1930, he was 74 and he did live in the New Yorker Hotel until his death... You'll need to go further than Wiki, but you can find pictures of him as an old man
But there is a flash back to him as a younger man in my story, when he was 49, about the time the photgraph was taken...
And it is only a comic
