If you've seen the site, you know: I am not what you would call a gifted artist. But I know that my drawings are (at least) a little better on paper than on computer (especially eyes and oblong shapes).

So to fix this, I'm thinking about a tablet, right? That's what I'd need?

What is a good, low-price-range model to consider?

Wacom Bamboo Fun is the best tablet for a beginner in my opinion.

But keep in mind that if you can't draw it on paper, you can't draw it with a tablet.

Wacom has the best tablets hands down but regardless of what you think you'll need to practice to do things on it. I've been using them for years and I'm still not 100% comfortable drawing on it vs paper.

Other tablets typically need batteries or have cords, wacom holds the patent on their special 'powerless' pens. At least that's what I recall from years ago, if that's changed I don't know.

I've used the graphire, intuous and now the cintiq. Great things

I use the monoprice ones and I am happy with it =3, i have used digi and wacom ones before
