Howdy y'all!
How's things over here?
Haven't been around much (or at all, for that matter) for real life reasons.
Thankfully Wendy reminds me of the forum once in a while, so here I am again. Will I stay this time? Unfortunately I can't promise that.

To all you new(ish) people, first of all: welcome!
Second, who the hell am I you ask? Good question.
When Ash started the webcomic list all those years ago he asked if I wanted to help and since I was a student with too much time on his hands and a love for webcomics of course I said yes. I've been adminning (real word!) the forum and webcomic news until real life got too busy. It's safe to say that after Wendy took over all the hard work I lollygagged off into the sunset

These days I spend two or three weeks a month abroad for work and try to visit my girlfriend across the Atlantic ocean as much as possible, which leaves very little time for webcomic shenanigans.

I'll do my best to hang around more often, help out with any issues we're facing and just get to know you guys and your work, but like I said: no promises

I don't remember the exact context but a couple months ago when I first joined I remember digging about the forum here and there and there was this wildly rotating avatar...so nice to meet you, wildly rotating avatar!

I'm Dutch and live in the Netherlands (most of the time) but will be moving to Texas for a year this summer, thought I'd throw in some practice

Traveling all over Europe, doing computery things and teaching people are all the pleasant kind of busy to me

Well, to be fair, the Houston area is pretrty big. Throw in Galveston & the Woodlands, and our metro area is along the lines Alpine Europeans consider a good size for a country. I'm in Missouri City (southwest Houston area, where the Beltway meets South Main) Feel free to shoot me a buzz if you need anything.

Also, for the record, nobody here says "howdy ya'll" unless they're joking or very very drunk (or from New Yorkjersengland and think they're funny).

Cool. Don't know yet where I'll actually end up living, but I'd be working about an hour from you then.
And I'm pretty sure I'd never be able to say "howdy" or "y'all" with a straight face, except for joking or being drunk, so I think I'll just stick to my own accent and be safe from offended locals
