Hello again everyone!

I just wanted to mention some thing about another one of my webcomics, Rasputin Barxotka. This is a historical online graphic novel with a supernatural twist. The story follows the relationship between Camello, a Russian Rromani (gypsy) smuggler and his deeply tormented compatriot, Lucky. Technically, it takes place in the early 1990′s during and immediately after the end of the Communist-ruled Soviet Union, though much of the narrative consists of flashbacks that take place in the 1980′s. There's a lot emphasis on themes about sexual orientation, loss, prejudice, politics and unexplained phenomena -- it's definitely not for everyone. It updates every Monday. There's a blog and a ton of extras that update on an irregular basis as well, so be sure to check them out. For more new reader information, visit this page: http://barxotka.com/new-readers/

Here's some sample art for those anyone interested in checking it out:

The Kris begins and Camello is wearing an awesome suit. Plus, a shout out to Socialfist.

In this week's Rasputin Barxotka, Camello is absolutely shameless at the Kris.

Random tangent question: Have you read Orwell's "Homage to Catalonia"?

I have not, but after I finish Blowing Up Russia by Alexander Litvinenko and Yuri Felshtinsky (which is excellent,) it's next on my reading list. I really enjoy Orwell. Thank you so much for the book suggestion.

Googled "Blowing Up Russia," and from the blurb I read about it, I think I'm in agreement with the author's main premise. I've only done a little research on the subject, but I've read a very good book "The War on Truth," which touched upon it as well.

Re: Orwell- before reading "Homage to Catalonia," I didn't realize how much of a badass the guy actually was (aside from being an intellectual badass). Guy actually survived getting shot through the neck fighting in the Spanish Civil War.

Who is the author for "War on Truth"? I may want to add that to my book list as well.

Orwell was not only a badass on many levels, but a stunningly prolific writer. With his life, it's no surprise that he had so much material to work with.

I've been super busy with work and education, but Rasputin Barxotka has been updating as per usual. Here's the last few comics posted. Smile

Camello is rocking the technicalities. Plus, the cutest doggie ever and the latest donor wallpaper.

Has Camello met his match?

I'll be back tomorrow. Very Happy

In today's Rasputin Barxotka, The Old Lady Questions The Tampon Trafficker + Webcomics I've been digging as of late and inexpensive commissions by Mandarr for a good cause.
