Well, I just colored the current page, friends. Now you can tell me how it does look.

Cheers!

The lines are coming out aliased (jagged), often with white artifacts and gaps along the edges. I don't do color myself, but from what I have read, people tend to do their colors on a layer below the line work (which is set to "Multiply" above them), and that way they can have the colors go behind the lines a bit so there aren't edging problems. Also there's all this complicated sounding talk of "flatting" and so forth that might help too.

Hey thanks on the good advice.

Actually I use the multi-layer approach with the multiply line work on top. My line art is quite loose so it is hard filling in the flat colors, therefore the lines, which I only notice afterwards =(

Thanks for the flatting links, I'm looking into them, that should help me improve! Finally after 6 months of playing by heart (plus some other excellent tutorials)

I have also noticed that the published version has some jagging/aliasing issues that I don't see on my original drawing (even the one on low-res). Could ComicPress be messing it up?

I'll have to check!

Tnx again!

The Hippo

EDIT: Wow! Love the tutorials! Tnx!

Update!

The girls seem to enjoy their new work for now... in a page with no dialog. Enjoy!

Finally an Update! That is what happens when your artist has to take ethics examinations and she is also enjoying the Caribbean!

Anyway...

AnahÝ is getting used to failed experiments... well, why is she the one that always show the results to the Professor?

Update, plus renewal of domain!

The M9 site has been live for a year now, tough the first page was published on september 7. What should be our anniversary? Going live or publsihing page one?
Let me know!

It happens that the Professor also works at his lab, not only the Girls. Of course, that can only be good, isn't it? See it at M9 Girls!

Why not have anniversaries for both? I would go with you first published date, if I had to choose.

Well, we can celebrate the day of inception (on July) and the official anniversary on the day of the first publication.

I will think now on something to offer our constant readers to celebrate! (assuming we have something close to constant readers he he)

Cheers from the Hippo

Update, just in time for the end of the month.

Vero keeps nagging Karla about her involvement with the Professor: this week in M9 Girls!

We are getting closer to our anniversary date! I'm so happy!

Update, even with the beginning of the semester, we made it.

Professor T.X. seems to be onto something, see the page at M9 Girls!

I am working on next page so you have an update soon!
