Hey all.

This is an open request for footer images for the new version of the awards site. The site has a randomly rotating footer which shows images from different artists, except at the moment it doesn't because we don't have any images made for this year's site yet.

Images need to be 900 pixels wide by 408 high. Preferred format is png and transparencies would be nice if you want to use the background colour of the site. If you have any problems with doing transparencies though, don't worry.

Check out http://2009.thewebcomiclistawards.com to see examples of footers from last year and http://2010.thewebcomiclistawards.com to see what the new colour scheme looks like.

Reward for supplying a footer is a mention on the front page and a warm feeling from having done something nice. Nothing tangible I'm afraid.

Ummm...Can I help out is some way? I'm not surew what is erequired to be present in the footer image , but if i did I'm sure I could come up with something. Let me know if theres anything specific you want drawn. You can Check out my deviantart page if you think i can qualify http://jazylh.deviantart.com

Sorry, I didn't see your reply before.
There's no real deadline. Ideally we'd like to get some more on there before the 8th when the nominations go live, but as the results themselves won't be announced until the end of January there's plenty of time where more can be added.

So, in short, as soon as you can, but don't worry if things have already started by the time you send it in.

Yeah, that would be great.
The only limitation for what you can put in the image is it has to be work safe and not get us into any legal trouble of course. Having a seamless repeat is a plus, but isn't 100% neccesary.

I assume you need more than one image or is the quota already covered?

Also, would it be OK to add a reference to my own website?

And yeah, references to your own comic are allowed.
I included one of my characters into one I did this year, so it would be a bit hypocritical if I said no.

Im sort of curious if the awards are happening this year. I know that theyve started late before, but I havent seen anything posted here or at the main site. Thanks

The awards are going ahead this year.

I can't give you any more details than that yet. Things are still being discussed, but yes there is going to be a 2011 awards.

I thought there was a deeadline to get involved, I guess I was wrong. This is neat.
