I don't know if asked before but anyway:
I know we have many favorites but, if you had to chose one and only one, what's your top genere in a webcomic?
I think mine's Heroic Fantasy, castles and stuff. |

Humor, I suppose. That's most of what I read online. |

This is a bit of a hard question for me. If you asked me a few years ago, I probably would have said high fantasy (sorcery and swordsplay kind of stuff) and it's not that I don't like that genre, but right now, I don't think I really have a favorite genere. If I look through my favorite web-comics, there's everything from fantasy, sci-fi, journal, slice-of-life, historical fiction, comedy, drama... art with cartoony styles, art with a traditional comic book style, art with anime/manga influences... comic strips, graphic novels and everything else. And I know that still doesn't answer the question. I guess I'll just be broad and say fantasy. Just fantasy in general. _________________ |

Strange humor with some substance. Something off-kilter that makes me think a bit. _________________ Ed Womack

I know it's not easy. I'm still thinking if the one I mentioned is really my top. I'm almost sure, tho.

I'm a big fan of slice-of-life. Mainly anything with really good dialogue. _________________

I really dig horror, but it's so hard to find anything that's truly nightmarish. I feel like I'm chasing the thrill that Tar Frogs gave me ages ago, but I'm probably never going to be able to find that sort of mojo again. |

I like a bit of quirky fantasy. But nowadays I tend to look for good characterization and a reasonable dose of humour, rather than a specific genre. If it doesn't have those two things, it tends to leave me cold - and if it does have those things, the genre can be largely irrevelant. _________________

For creating or for reading?
I like gags/humor comics a lot (when reading) because they don't soak up so much time.
If I have time I like fantasy/steampunk/sci-fi/mystery... well a lot . |

I really don't have favorites in anything, however my favorite to create is sci-fi took me ages to get started on that. I'm only aware of maybe 1 sci-fi webcomic that I like out there (Crimson Dark) the rest is various comedy things. _________________ |

I exclusively read comedy. I guess cuz when I think of comics, I think of reading the comics in the paper when I was a kid. I like web comics to fill that void. But, in general, also be way funnier. Which they often are.

I think I'm going to have to say humor as well. That's mainly what I read online anyway. For ALL comics web and print I'm going to have to say horror/crime comics and really artsy fartsy things. Some of my favorite artists are Rafael Grampa who wrote "Mesmo Delivery" and now does some spots for Marvel, and Johnny Negron who does short comics for zines and stuff. |
