I'm a longtime member of this forum, and a writer who has sold an article and two short stories at professional rates.
I'm looking for a few brave souls to read my 302 page graphic novel
Brotherhood of the Black Flag, Volume One: Flag in Flames, and tell me what all is wrong with it. The story is a space pirate romance and the artwork is done in Poser.
Here's some sample artwork...
Not an actual image from the comic, but close.

This was a "set up pose" for a fight scene. I rendered it to see how the lights would turn out, and decided to keep it for my art gallery.
If you have something you'd like critiqued in return, my husband (BA in English, sf/fantasy fan, long-time comic and webcomic reader) is offering his services in place of my own due to my health taking a recent nose-dive (I sooo do not get along with summer).
If you are interested in critiquing, but
Flag in Flames doesn't seem like your thing, in about a week I will also be needing some brave souls to read
Across A Jade Sea, which I thought was a novel when I was writing it, but it ended up being so long that I decided it was three short novels. It's a romantic adventure set on a fantasy world without magic, with a tech level roughly equivalent to the early 1900s. Because of its length we are willing to negotiate on crit exchanges, two for one, or whatever seems fair.
If you want an even better idea of what you're getting into. The Black Flag portion of my site is at

You can poke around my site as much as you like, but right now the actual comic can only be read by people who have an account. If you agree to betaread for me, I'll set one up for you.
