My family saw a guy dressed up as Darth Vader at a Major League Baseball game tonight (White Sox vs. KC Royals) at US Cellular Field in Chicago. This prompted me to wonder; have any of you seen superheroes, villains, or other fictional characters in bizarre everyday life settings?

I don't know if this counts, but there's a group of cosplay enthusiasts in my hometown that sometimes randomly dress up and go out. (Sometimes they decide to take over our comic store, which really bugs me...)

Some of the strictly superhero cosplayers have formed a splinter group called the JLS, or Justice League of Saskatoon. The head of the JLS is a man who is, literally, Batman-For-Hire. For a price, you can hire him to appear at your child's birthday party (or other social event) in costume as Batman.

Other than that, I once saw a guy dressed as Spider-Man at a concert. He was with another guy who was dressed as Tinky-Winky. I tried getting a picture of them, but the concert was at Wembley Stadium in London, so they were much too far away:

Oh, that counts alright. That is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about and it is so amusing.

There were once some storm troopers and a dalek at a nearby shopping centre, but they were advertising a con. It worked, I ended up going.
